Ida’s Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Wisconsin Rapids

Definitely had a memorable experience tonight. But not a good memory and I will not be returning. Food was just fine. I used to go here every Friday with my husband until they lost their best cooks a couple years back. Decided to give it another try tonight and won't be going back. I was told it'd be a 15 minute wait. Okay awesome and I got seated in less than 10 even better! But I sat at the table with my mom and 2 kids for 20 minutes (I watched the time) before anyone even stopped to take our drink order and that was only after we stopped a server walking past to which she just said "yes I know I'll get to you" I don't even know which lady was supposed to be our server because the only time anyone stopped throughout our meal was when we stopped someone walking past. Not only did it take 20 minutes to get our drink order in but another group of 4 sat down 10 minutes after us and had their drink order placed immediately. They also had their food order taken before we even got our drink order taken. I placed my order 3 piece fish with a baked potato and no coleslaw. We vacation in the town of Rome thought we would try a restaurant we have not eaten at so Idas it was. It was a Saturday around 5pm place was packed . We orders French onion soup and jalapeño popper as appetizers the poppers were so so but the soup was really good 👍🏽 we ordered one special beef tenderloin sandwich and fries , shrimp and fries , and Ruben sandwich. The food took more than an hour and to top it off they delivered our food to a different table took several minutes to realize their mistake then bought us our food from the other table ugh assured us no one touch the food , well at this point we did not want it remade we were starving and had a 3 year old with us. Well our food was not hot at all :( cold told the waitress she said oh so sorry and did take 10% off our bill .. could have been more in my opinion especially after giving our food to another table esp with Covid still out there . Well the tenderloin sandwich was tough and not cooked as requested , my breaded shrimp was over cooked and too dark and cold the Ruben was ok but only one half of the sandwich was luke warm the other half cold . Very disappointed...

Love Friday fish fry and that they take reservations. However very disappointed with the hostess tonight. We had a reservation for 5, they squeezed us into a 4 top, which was ok. They sat us 20 minutes late, being a Friday my family was understanding. Had a great meal, they cleared our plates, we paid our bill and stayed to finish our drinks. The hostess comes up and asked us to move our conversation to the bar! Not only is the so incredibly rude since we paid for our drinks, but there were 2 open seat at the bar and we had 5 people, one being a 9yo old. She told us they had a “wait” for the table, there were 2 people waiting Why not ask the tables around us that were seated since we got there if they would leave? If there is a time limit on how long you can occupy a table, they should make you aware of that and seat you at the actual time of your reservation! Of course she apologized, but apologizing after you basically tell paying customers to leave is just so incredibly rude. I will think twice about visiting this...
