Well-liked by locals, McBrides is a favorite spot to grab a pizza, have a drink or hold an event in its side room. We ordered two medium pizzas to go to share with another couple for dinner at their house and sat and had a drink while we waited. Our three tall drinks had good pours.

This was the first time I've ever seen takeout pizzas put in bags and not in cardboard boxes, but regular patrons are used to this packaging. We had one clam casino, learning on arrival, our friend's wife likes their other clam pizza with clams, garlic and bacon. Noted. She prefers the clam pizza without all the peppers.

Ordered from here twice during the pandemic back in April. Between both times we had their Pasta Fagioli, a Cheese Pizza, Bacon Pizza, Chicken Pizza, Homemade Chicken Parmigiano and Baked Ziti.

The pizza's were great, well cooked and very tasty. The pasta dishes were equally good however, compared to others the portions were a bit small for the price.

used to go back when they were in the north end of waterbury...small room along side a popular local bar....pizza was what we came for...30 years later... for me at least....took mom and dad back.. still the same..only the juke box was missing... pizza was what we came for... and they did not dissapoint.... just as i remembered it...thin crispy crust.. simple cheese ..sausage topping.. in a room filled with old time waterbury photos my parents remember ...better than me.... 10 of 10 will...
