the course is ok, but experience totally ruined by the most stubborn, arrogant, or maybe just incompetent pro shop employees you ever met before. Nearly every SINGLE time I play here gives me a hard time checking in, because they either lost the time you booked, overbooked it, or didn't put it in when you called over the phone. "we have a online-only policy" because its SO difficult to enter a tee time right? You only work there!
Not to mention charging cart prices for walking the course? Outrageous. It was raining for christ's sake. Not even a busy day.
The old woman with jet-black dyed hair needs to find a job that's not related to customer service. Or at least a job that's not for high schoolers. She is bitter and I will not be returning at this course.
EDIT TO REPLY: so your golf pro refused to book our time over the phone, recognized us when we came in, and STILL gave us a hard time over the booking? What a...
Read moreGenerally I enjoy this course but it is frequently overpriced as it was this time. I called in quite a few days before and set up a tee time on Sunday and asked what the walking rate was and was told it was $60. Upon arriving, I was informed that there was a flat rate on weekends that was $88. I told the guy working at the counter that I was told it was $60 when I called in and he stared at me like somebody had hit him with a 2x4 and then stated it's $88. He then asked me if I wanted a cart now that I paid $88 for something I was expecting to pay $60 for. I said no and I walked the course anyway because that's what I like to do. In this situation where I was told the price over the phone for this one individual that was walking that day they should have accommodated in my opinion. Especially since I didn't use the cart. Very frustrating and...
Read morePlayed twice while on vacation nearby. I enjoyed the course - it was in excellent condition and a good challenge - and the groups I joined were very enjoyable. Unfortunately, I didn't find it welcoming in the pro shop. There was a minor disagreement after a junior employee made a small error offering a special deal when he took the booking. On the good side, the deal was honoured, but in doing so the manager/pro was condescending and patronizing. I never heard anything resembling, "sorry about the confusion; I hope you enjoy your round." Had I not paid in advance for the second round, I wouldn't have gone back at all. She certainly didn't try to make it pleasant. It put a damper on what otherwise would have been a nice experience. I also played Ridgewood, 20 minutes away, comparable in quality, less expensive and...
