DEEP BREATH.. ok here goes! 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ALIBI PUB & GRUB in Wonder Lake on Wonder Lake Road just north of McCollum Lake Road. If you ain’t up at Alibi Pub and Grub then where ARE you aaaaaaattttt?!?!?! 😂😂 I’ve seen reviews. It’s been on my list OVER A YEAR… just never made it up there. Think Julia Robert’s, PRETTY WOMAN, walking in the shop the second time to tell them they made a BIG MISTAKE not helping her the day before. This is all I’m thinking. I’m literally embarrassed I’ve been missing out on this gem! BIG MISTAKE! HUGE!! Prices… 💰UNBEATABLE $12 1/3 pound bacon burger with a HEALTHY helping of tots (or fries)… and that 1/3 was not pre measured. Let’s just say SHE WAS THICK. 🍔🍔🍔 Service.. amazing! Despite the loud band, we communicated effectively. Sam was our server but others stopped by to check in with us. Never had an empty drink or a dirty dish on the table. 🥤 🍹 Place was clean. The server brought us a big carrier full of napkins, utensils, condiments which I love because when you just need a napkin you don’t have to flag down someone and wait. Oh and we got a new ketchup bottle, we had to open it ourselves. I like knowing places aren’t reusing bottles, just seems more sanitary. Flavor of the food was REALLY good! Bun was fresh and soft on the burger. You could tell the burger was fresh not frozen. Burger cooked to a perfect medium which I asked for. Tots could have been cooked slightly longer because we prefer them CRISPY but for the general public I’m sure more people enjoy them better not so crunchy. Check out the specials and events! Tonight was this band Faction! Really good. They were just starting when we walked in. I saw $5 burgers on a few nights. Taco nights. Bingo nights. Pizza and pajamas night. Fundraisers. Bags nights. 75 cent wing nights. Breakfast on weekends. Also they have some really unique items on their regular menu like cheeseburger, Rueben, or Italian beef egg rolls, this horseshoe burger I’ve seen reviews on, and Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese. Definitely worth checking out even if you decide to do just do pick up and save the cash for drinks and extras. I actually was reminded of this place from the Southwest Dining app! I prefer to support a local business rather than a national chain. I realllly wanted to like this place. So much so that I've visited a few times.

Unfortunately it's been consistently bad. First time, a few friends and I were the only guests. The food took nearly an hour to come out, and when it did everyone's food was cold. Not just "oh this probably was taken off the grill a rew minutes ago" cold, more like "this has already been sitting on the counter for 30mins" cold. The waiter was kind and apologized for the wait. Location / Atmosphere – Nice to see a bar and grill in Woodstock with excellent food. Very clean and well managed. Didn’t expect it when we pulled in.

Food / Beverage – Typical bar and grill with a nice selection of burgers, sandwiches and beer. Food cook very well. Started with a basket of onion rings witch came to the table extra hot which confirms that the wait staff is getting the food out of the kitchen as soon as it’s made. Would suggest including a dipping sauce. We were served Mustard and Ketchup but would have been nice to have something else like BBQ, Honey Mustard or even Ranch. My wife had a Swiss Burger and I had the BBQ Bacon Burger, and both were cooked very well. Would have been nice to have a ‘special of the day’. No complaints about the bar. Not a bad selection of beers on tap.

Service - Very pleasant and attentive service. Our server did a great job and the wait for our drinks as well as food was very short. The waitstaff did check in on us throughout the evening which is always a good thing. It's always nice to be served by people who don't mind being at work and have a positive attitude.

In summary - A very nice place. Plan to return and look forward to seeing your dining...
