UPDATE * I went back. Inside decor nicer. However , finally figured out the biggest problem here... the wait staff. The girls are by the kitchen area chit chatting while I was trying to get a refill on my cup of coffee. Dirty plates left on tables ( 4 waitresses on duty). I never got the refill. Also, again, the waitress took my order only to come back 10 minutes later saying the kitchen is out of that item ( again, it was a special) There is poor communication between wait staff and the kitchen. However, the food presentation is excellent. A little skimpy but beautifully presented on the plate. The restaurant is very noisy, even with only 6 tables full, not much to do about that except carpeting.* Applause for cleaning up the outside of the place. The previous owners kept the outside like a pig pen. The service was ok. The food was meh, prices high for what we got. Also ran out of the top luncheon special at 12:45pm. Owners seem new. The atmosphere is very drab . Seems they have improving to do. We...
Read moreOur first time here, we had a ton of ants at our table due to the open syrup bottles that are kept on the table. The waitress apologized and moved us. The owner comp'd our meal which we thought was very nice. The food was superb. Our second time here was this past Sunday. We returned to celebrate my birthday with family. The food was again delicious and the service was fabulous. Today however, my mother in law returns with a friend and orders the french toast which was highly reviewed. After finishing the second piece, she cuts into a BLOODY bandaid. Of course, the waitress apologized, brought out fresh french toast and comp'd her bill - but still managed to charge her $5 for the side of bacon and charged her friend for her meal. Unfortunately, not a single one of the 8 of us who have been there will...
Read moreThe Woodbury Country Eatery opened in 2023 at the same location where the Woodbury Diner once stood.
I used to be a regular customer at the diner, especially around 2013. For a few months, I went there every Sunday for breakfast.
The diner originally opened in 2009 but was closed in 2022 by its owners, Jimmy and Jonny Rakiposki.
The new owner, Dave Gambino, reopened the space as a breakfast and lunch spot, but it doesn’t serve a traditional diner menu. For example, they offer potato cakes, and instead of using standard hard rolls or toast for sandwiches, you can order flatbreads.
We haven’t been back in about a year, mostly because I prefer the more classic...
