We liked it a lot, actually. Even though we reserved a table when buying our tickets a few hours before the show, our name wasn't on the list at the door. We explained one of the co-owners was a friend if ours and he invited us to this event. The guy at the door went in back to talk to one of the other co-owners and came out and immediately gave us a table. We did have a 50% off promo code but it wasn't recognized by PayPal.
Still, it was quite worthwhile as the beer was delicious, the soundtrack of vintage rock playing in the bar before the band took stage, was the best we'd ever heard. "The Cast of Beatlemania" rocked the house with excellent interpretations of Beatles music in three sets: Early Beatles, Sgt. Pepper and The White Album and then Abbey Road, due to its anniversary this year.
Food is available from a restaurant next door so patrons order off of their menu and after being prepared there, it's brought over to the brewery by their delivery people. Its mostly bar food and sandwiches but there are a few full dinner choices, as well, like steak or fish and chips.
I had the Woodbury Brewing Company "Painted Black" Porter and the Russian Imperial "Don't Go Romanov" Stout. Both were exquisite. My partner had the Woodbury Brewery Company Champils which is brewed with Chardonnay grapes and French hops. Also excellent.
For food, to try two different flavored wings, we had to buy six of each. Buffalo and Cajun dry rub were both flavorful, moist and a decent size. The loaded potato tots were sold out. I ordered two fish tacos, which also can be made with shrimp or roast chicken. The tortilla was cold maybe because of the delivery process coming from outdoors in December. Not very memorable to me but I was watching the show. My partner had my second one for lunch today warmed up and saI'd it was very good.
For his dinner, he had the eight ounce bacon cheeseburger with fried onion rings well done. He thought it was dry maybe because of the well done cooking temperature. There is much to try on the menu, so there's bound to be favorites for everyone. If you're a microbrew fan, Woodbury Brewing Company is definitely somewhere you want to go, with or without live...
Read moreNew Review: As someone new to the community I was looking for a local place to try I googled and came across this place website. I checked the hours and went as I wasn’t looking for an event but a bar. When I arrived I was unprepared for a cover that is not mentioned on the website. I left the below review and the owner responded within 15 minutes defending claiming it was on their website, I went through all the steps and because I don’t have Facebook was not allowed to view the events page. I had a friend who had Facebook check for me. These are the steps required to find out there is a cover charge. Go on the website-go to the events page (regardless if you were actually interested in an event) click on the link be brought to Facebook. Click the event for that night (again regardless if you were actually looking for an event) click the description and read about the cover and reservation requirements. How hard is it to add this information to your website? Based on your response you do not want my business and I will gladly find another local place to spend my money
Old review: If you have a cover charge or require a reservation you should put it on your website so people can come prepared to pay.
Edit: events brings me to Facebook which I do not use. If you require a reservation/a cover it’s a simple thing to include on...
Read moreI gave 2 stars because the beer was pretty good. If you are just in it for the beer then it's great. Otherwise the service and the food were both terrible. We were 2 of 3 people there at the time. The bar tender and the waiter spent the whole time talking to each other. They were so inattentive and slow. Also the food took FOREVER and was served in to go containers. We were so confused we started googling it. The food is delivered from the Greek restaurant in front of the brewery. Clearly Greek food is their specialty because the bar food we had was absolutely terrible. One of the worst meals I have had in a long time. There was no seasoning in the fries or coleslaw. We also had the crispy chicken sandwich which had all the breading fall off and the texture of the chicken was VERY chewy. So gross. We also got buffalo wings and the chicken itself tasted bad. Clearly very low quality. We then sat there with empty beers and trash in front of us for a long time until finally someone came to check on us. Needless to say,...
