It has been a few years since I've last visited. For many years my family has always talked about how great Ovens of France is, and it's always been a special treat to buy from here.
Unfortunately, there has definitely been some changes. I'm unsure if they've changed some recipes or bakery staff but the differences in taste is noticed. The bread is still delicious but seemed a bit stale? Definitely thinner than it used to be. & There was no French butter available.
The croissants have an aftertaste now, very oily. I was super excited for them, but couldn't stomach the ham & cheese croissant after a couple bites. The tiramisu had no flavor.
That being said, some of the other deserts were still good. The eclair was delicious not too sweet but still tasty. The lemon meringue tart and pear & almond tarte were also yummy.
Despite the friendly & prompt customer service, I'm left feeling slightly disappointed. It will probably be a long while before I ever...
Read moreHeard about this place from a vendor of mine. He would always be so nice to bring these croissants to some of our early morning meetings... OMG they are to die for. Lucky for us, since these would get picked up first the thing in the morning, they were SO FRESH and I would be salivating during every bite. You must try these ham and cheese croissant and the almond croissant!!!!
During a road trip of mine, I even made a special trip to visit this establishment. Unfortunately, t's nothing crazy in terms of ambiance and the only seating they have is a couple tables outside. Not sure what their other location looks like. I'm hoping this place gets popular so they can do some improvements on the aesthetics of the place. :)
P.S. This place is owned by a French guy, so you know this place is authentic! I've never been to France, but if anything tasted any better than these croissants... I'd be in heaven. They also have a website so...
Read moreAlways ordered my cakes from here and bought their pastries. Girl that answered the phone today was sarcastic and rude and said that I can’t place an order over the phone that I have to drive there to place an order only. Apparently this has always been this way for years. I have always placed my order over the phone and picked up my order on the requested day. I do not live nearby this bakery and travel a distance to go there. Will not recommend this place to anyone I know anymore. Even after telling her I have always ordered over the phone she laughed at me and said maam I just work here that’s what I was told. Very unprofessional. I don’t know any other bakery that makes their customers drive there to place an order. That’s ridiculous. If you want a deposit , yes of course that’s fine. But drive in person?! They will lose my money. Very inconvenient for a lot...
