011820 I have dined here in there past and it's a lot of food for a good price. This location has been here for a long time and located in an old strip mall that kinda needs a facelift. The restaurant does provide some tables, chairs and booths but during busy hours can be filled up. Sadly the interior is nothing to write home about and could definitely use a major facelift, It's very aged and can make you feel it's not clean. Paint, new ceiling tiles could brighten it up. The menu is huge and can be confusing and overwhelming so if you can look up their menu first it might help. I had the gyros and a side of fries, the fries as you can tell were huge and they were also perfectly cooked, meaning crispy outside soft inside. The gyros I thought had a tad to much of the sauce so next time I'll get it on the side, the sauce over took the meat, onion and tomato flavors... you never got to taste those ingredients, so the gyros I can't say was the best sadly but less sauce could change that. The price was decent for the amount of food and you will end up taking home leftovers of the gyros. I would day give this place a try it does have many many...
Read moreI used to love this place that's why this is gonna hurt... a few days ago I came in in got an Italian beef and sausage 6" for $10.50 which is little steep for 6inch sandwich. I open up the bag and a bunch of beef juice went all over the place I didn't ask for it dipped. Then I realized that they were soaking up the beef juice with the white bread bun they used because they went cheap and are not using Italian or French bread. They're using some disgusting stale bread God knows where they got that from. The sausage was old past its prime the beef wasn't to bad. I picked off the beef, I had to throw the bread and sausage out the window. I'll remember this place as it was before the original owner passed away. I had this place cater my high school graduation over 15 years ago when it was one of the best beef joints in the area unfortunately a lot of times when the patriarch owner of a restaurant passes away they just cannot keep the same quality going. I've seen this time and time again over the years with some of my favorite places either they fudge along until they shut down or they go back to serving...
Read moreI don’t usually trust 1-2 star reviews for two reasons. One is because all they do is write 1-2 stars for almost every establishment. Right there is a loss of credibility. The second reason is because they can’t even write a proper review without using at least 5-10 exclamation points. Need I say more?
With that said, Doggie Diner provides decent food with generous portions for reasonable prices. Service was good, the kids were very attentive and they made your food fresh. Tables were clean, they are doing some renovations. The casino games were a bit out of place. Parking lot was too dark, it could use more lighting. I almost missed the turn. Garlic bread was decent. It was crunchy but could be softer in the middle. French fries were tasty with the cheese sauce. They give you more than enough sauce which was good. I had the Boston filler - gyro meat and Italian sausage. Great tasting sandwich with plenty of meat. Maxwell Polish is another recommended choice. Overall, good value for what...
