We went to Claudio's for a birthday celebration. We made reservations for a party of 13. We arrived at 6:30 and didn't have food until about 8:15. We had gotten three drink refills before any food was brought to the table. The first thing they brought out was a single side salad. The person who brought it out was not the person who took the order so he didn't even know who to give it to. He didn't even bring salad dressing to go with it. A few more salads came out along with the kids' meals that we ordered. The kids' were basically done eating before the rest of us got our food. The food came out at all different times by multiple people who, again, didn't know who the food went to. For the prices, the food was not even that good. The bread for the burgers was cooked too long/burnt, my sister said that her chicken was dry and the pasta was way overpriced for such the small amount that was given. Other than the fact that the service was extremely slow, it was also just bad. The waitress barely came to check on us or to reiterate what was going on with our order. We had to ask, at one point, how much longer it would be before the food came and she responded that she didn't know. I get that it's a new restaurant, but service and the amount of time that it takes to get food out to customers is a big deal and a major factor in the future success of a restaurant. I had high hopes for this place, but doubt we will be returning. Extremely...
Read moreAs someone who takes dining seriously, I always approach new establishments with an open mind and a fair palate. Unfortunately, my experience at Claudio’s Bistro was profoundly disappointing.
The meal began with a bowl of lobster bisque that immediately raised concern—its aroma was off-putting, and the flavor suggested something artificial and unsettlingly sour, bordering on spoiled. I would strongly advise the kitchen to revisit both the ingredients and preparation methods for this dish.
The water served was lukewarm and had an unmistakable aftertaste reminiscent of stagnant rainwater—a basic yet crucial detail that should never be overlooked in any dining environment.
The main course, a house burger, lacked any discernible seasoning or depth of flavor. It was surprisingly bland, with no effort evident in the patty or toppings. The sole redeeming element of the meal was the side of fries, which were crisp, well-salted, and clearly fresh—ironically the highlight of an otherwise lackluster experience.
Claudio’s has potential, but there are foundational issues in both quality control and flavor execution that need immediate attention. I hope to see improvement in the future, but as it stands, this visit was...
Read moreA pretty big disappointment. Came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and it was past peak lunch hours. We were told from the start that the kitchen was running behind, but other than the food taking a little longer it should no effect our meal. That is perfectly reasonable if told in advance like it was, however the fact that the staff as a whole was consistently behind was an issue. Long periods between refills, no napkins to be able to clean up a spill, things like that were consistent. The rest of my family liked their food, but the portions were surprisingly small for the price. Both my wife and I ended up eating fries from the kids’ meals because we were still hungry. However, my real issue was my meal. I ordered the French dip sandwich and it was without doubt the worst I have ever had. Somehow the bread was hard and chewy, so that I had to work to rip pieces off with my teeth, but also came soaked like the meat had been put on without being drained of fat. The au jus tasted like it was pure garlic in water, but the meat was so bland that it required dipping to have flavor. I would probably rate lower, but other portions of the...
