I will start with the positives. It always looks clean, the staff provides prompt and good service. My concern is this - I’ve been coming here for about 8 years now and their prices keep going up. You wouldn’t know it based on the menu because they use a generic menu and the don’t charge the prices that are listed. If you ask for a receipt, it just shows a final total, nothing is itemized. It’s getting to a point it feels very shady with the prices. This is not a rich town so I feel $37 for two meals (no extra egg rolls or side items.) is extreme. It didn’t cost this much before. The food is always very hot and they do give good portions. They are just over-priced and need to be transparent on prices. This it’s important no matter the business. Won’t be going back anymore. The last bill shocked me when I went to pick up. The town is growing and there are other places to try that don’t cost this much. It’s sad what...
Read moreListen, we're not in China! And we're certainly not in San Francisco or New York or Atlanta or anywhere else with a large Chinese population. I consider the food here m e h. The restaurant itself is fascinating, surrounded by wooden micro carvings of Chinese pagodas villages animals people. It's fascinating! The service was very nice the restaurant is very clean but Chinese? Nothing was particularly authentic and there were no offerings of spare ribs or crab rangoon or shumai or almond cookies for that matter. so, in all, I was disappointed. I've heard from ethnic restaurant owners in this area that the locals don't like authentic food and they have to change their recipes to accommodate the customers. I...
Read moreI ordered a food item and asked for no onion. Came home and there’s white onion. Item also had cabbage. It’s fine but it didn’t say there was cabbage to begin with. Husband called to get it fixed and they proceeded to literally tell him there’s no onion in his order. Apparently to them we don’t know what the taste of white onion is. Made my husband sent them a photo of his food item and kept on saying that’s just cabbage in the photo. Clearly this person that answered the phone doesn’t cook at all to know the difference between onion and cabbage. Not sure if people do this often but definitely never ordering food from here again. Safe yourself and just go to the Hachi Express Steak & Seafood. Much...
