I wanted to give 5 stars so badly!! As soon as you walk in, it’s a beautiful experience. However, that was pretty much the end of that for me. I ordered a decently large order for pick up well in advance (6 days prior) for Valentine’s Day. Originally my pick up time was for 6pm however I called and emailed Monday the day before to ask if I could come earlier than 6pm as my schedule was switched around. No response due to them being closed on Mondays. Okay, no worries that is understandable. Tuesday morning I called and asked my question about picking up any earlier in the day and was told “5:30”. I said ok as that’s better than nothing. I was actually basing my day off picking up at 5:30 now and once again, I called the restaurant to see if now at 2:30pm they would have time to maybe pick up sooner? Just thinking it would be a slim chance but I’m in the area and I’ll ask. I was told no and it would be ready at 5:30. Okay again, no worries. I stayed out doing extra errands and even sitting in my car waiting for 5:30. Went into the store at 5:28 and asked about my order and was told “they’re just finishing up”. I stood around for 15 minutes in silence at the register waiting for someone to come out of the back and give me an update other than what I got when I first came in. I had to go to the back and actually ask how much longer it would be and was told another 5 minutes and that they were busy today that’s what the hold up was. I was shocked because I put my order in 5 days ago so I don’t understand why this was happening regardless of being busy or not. As a person in customer service for 20+ years, I could have understood more if they would have at least gave me an update, not let me stand around wondering what’s going on for 15 minutes alone in the front, and just apologize for the delay. I could have picked up my child in that timeframe instead of being late due to lack of communication and customer service. Your customers time is just as valuable as the owners/workers. I used my order for work valentines hand outs so in the end it served its purpose but the charcuterie box I ordered did not come with crackers. I’ve ordered my share of charcuterie and not once were crackers...
Read moreWent in to get a sandwich Saturday morning during the farmers market and ordered a bacon, egg and cheese.
I really hope the disappointing sandwich was due to packaging it up as a to go order but the image in the menu versus what we got was borderline false advertising.
The sandwich, while large, was literally just a solid brick of egg with a small speckling of 8 tiny sprinkle sized pieces of what we thought might be the bacon on the sandwich. There was so little bacon or nonexistent bacon and cheese that it felt like we were just eating cubes of bland egg on a flattened croissant with each bite.
I understand prices of raw ingredients only have been going up, but the proportions and quality were not there to support the sandwich costing $18.50 and feeling like I was robbed. I’ve quite literally had better tasting manufactured sandwiches at hotel breakfasts while traveling.
My suggestion/feedback would be make to go order sandwiches as representative of the menu photos as possible and more equally balance out the ingredients, or keep the bacon as whole strips on top of the cheese and egg. I’d rather have a smaller sandwich what was better balanced with better ratio of ingredients that just a large slab of egg.
The front counter girl working was nice and I wish this...
Read moreMy first time there and it was not good. A cinnamon roll that is small but 7 dollars better be a Great! it was OK. Not sure why the icing was so loose it should have been more stable. it tasted like there was cream cheese. The icing (not the roll) was somewhat warm not thick so it was odd. I was more upset that the smores mini éclairs were definitely stale! I have a video of being able to tap the éclair onto my counter and it barely breaks. I gave the place a chance to explain. I called and no one answered. I left a nice vm explaining what occurred. maybe they were not aware. Maybe by the lack of response they do not care and they know they serve stale éclairs. I also returned their survey that is from toast their point system. No repsonse. I was disappointed. If you would have at least showed that an issue matters I would come back. I would rather support small businesses but they have to have commitment to comedable service and goods. I added screen shots of the video. I really banged the éclair on the counter and it doesn't even smash at all. a few crumbs came off. no option to add video. Edit 8.19 The owner did reach out and apologized. I expressed my appreciation for the contact back and apology. They have since removed the smores éclairs. I will give them...
