My wife and I went here for dinner. Got everything to go. From the second you walk in there you’re treated with a loving smile and a fresh hello from the sweetest woman working the register. Before we even ordered she was asking if we wanted anything to drink. Told us we could bring in a beer from next door if we wanted to. She was amazing. The price for what we got was really good. Spent about 70 bucks. We didn’t have to wait to long for our food. The inside is small and cozy. It’s decorated with nice bright colors and cool looking items from all over the place. They even have outside seating if you’d like. Here comes the best part. We got the food home. Wow. The brisket was incredibly delicious. Soft and juicy and tasty. I can’t say enough how good it was. The piece was a pretty good size as well. The corn bread was good. The pulled pork was awesome. The Mac and cheese was incredible. Even the potato salad was good. The funny part about that was she told us it was freshly made so it might need salt and pepper. It didn’t. It was perfect. Nachos were good I just wish I didn’t get the beans on them. That’s my taste though. If you like ‘em get them. All around top to bottom front to back food and people were awesome. Even the small building was pretty cool. Give them a try. I can’t wait to go back and try something different on the menu. The one thing that did kind of stink was parking. You gotta find someplace to park on the street. Good luck and practice your parallel parking skills.

Excellent BBQ and great service! We ordered the 1/2lb pulled pork and 1/2lb brisket, which came with 2 sides and a corn muffin, and an order of 6 wings. All of the meat was tender, flavorful, and freshly cooked. The wings are massive! We ordered them with sweet chili (my favorite) and BBQ sauce. We got onion rings, sweet potato fries, and cole slaw as sides, everything tasted fresh and homemade. Even the corn muffin was fresh out of the oven and still warm when it got to our table. There were no leftovers - the portions are decent, but everything was just so good that our plates were cleared! We ordered a few corn muffins to go, which were great with coffee the next morning. As we ate, our server (possibly the owner?) checked in routinely, and had conversation with us about the restaurant and the area. Although we were the only customers dining in at the time, we overheard a number of call in and take out orders being placed - some for a few pounds of meat, some calling for just sides – goes to show that everything here is good. It seems like this spot is a favorite among locals, and possibly my new go-to BBQ joint in Worcester.

Food: we got the half pound brisket and half pound pulled pork dinner which also came with at least two sides. Everything was absolutely delicious. The meats were tender and flavorful. Nothing was dry. I like how the potato salad is an overly salted but you can taste the eggs and the potatoes pretty well. The cornbread is not as sweet and you can taste the corn milk, but it’s also not too dry. Service: our server was great made sure that we had everything in our meals. Ambiance: it’s a very tiny almost like antique restaurant that’s filled with perhaps at max 15 seats. It gives a very old-fashioned western family vibe with the dim lights Location accommodation: there is outdoor seating when the weather is applicable, and parking is usually on the side. It doesn’t seem like they do reservations and the place is rather tiny so keep in mind on the space capacity.

Living nearby, West Side BBQ has become a staple of my wife and my "we're too lazy to drive somewhere" dinner plans in very short time. Portions are generous and the service is very friendly. It's BYOB! A great place to sit outside on a warmer day (inside gets a bit too hot during the summer as it's not air conditioned). We've done take out a few times and loved it. They need a website for easier ordering and so that their menu is online.

Food: Generally very good to excellent, but not world class (not that I would expect world-class at this price point!). The BBQ sauce used (there appears to be at least two different types) is more towards the tangy end and is very good, but not perfect. Brisket was very good, Ribs were excellent (less tangy), sweet potato fries are amazing. The Nachos appetizer is very large and excellent. I haven't experienced enough of Worcester yet to say for sure, but I have a feeling this place is in contention for best BBQ in the city. I would rate it very favorably compared to most of the BBQ places I was familiar with in Boston (recently moved).

Atmosphere: Most seating during the summer is outside on the front patio. It can get a bit loud as Pleasant St. is fairly busy, but the neighborhood is nice and conversation is still easy. Occasionally, some people smoking at the nearby coffee shop have caused some annoyance (smoke drifting over). Inside has a couple of booths and a TV. I've never eaten inside, but it seems like it would be nice, albeit with less atmosphere, when the weather dictates indoor eating.

Note: there is a nearby liquor store which has chilled wine/beer for sale at...
