Great first experience with Newton Square Pizza from start to finish! I’m excited to keep working my way down the menu with future orders. Crab Rangoon Pizza? What? I can’t wait to try that and the Lasagna Pizza next. I ordered online and picked up the food. I wish more pizza restaurants used Foodtec for their online ordering tool. It was so easy to select exactly what we wanted and make payment. We ordered the Large Tropical Delight Pizza with half no tomatoes (bacon, pineapple, tomatoes, and jalapeños), Large Five Cheese (pizza cheese, ricotta, feta, and garlic), and a side order of onion rings. I arrived a few minutes early, and my order was just being finished. The person at the register was super friendly. I was out the door with my food in a flash.
The onion rings are my favorite style, and they totally wowed me. The breading is stay together excellent, and they were sooooo juicy. These are my favorite onion rings I have consumed in the past several years of ordering onion rings. They are the real deal. I will always order these in the future. The 5 cheese pie packed a ton of cheesy goodness. I know my wife will be requesting this again the next time we order. My favorite of the two pizzas was the Tropical Delight. I loved the kick of the jalapeños to counter the sweetness of pineapples and tomatoes. The dough has a nice flavor that lets the fresh ingredients shine. After living in Worcester the past 6 years and less than three miles from Newton Square Pizza, I wish I had found and tried them sooner. I love that the menu has so many unique options to...
Read moreI honestly loved their menu but their customer service has started to become horrible. I called to place a delivery order to the place of my work, 8 minutes away according to Google Maps. I have had delivery here before many times because its a popular establishment (Canal District) and the gentlemen told me over the phone that they do not deliver there. When I told him that I have ordered there weekly he said to me "Too bad, we do not deliver to that area so order somewhere else". I was dumbfounded by that comment and hate to write a review like this but after ordering from them on a weekly. basis and getting it delivered, I will encourage my customers to order elsewhere now just like the gentlemen on the phone told me. It's a shame that someone can speak to a customer like that because in a world where small businesses are having a hard time finding success, there is a place like Newton Square Pizza who clearly DO NOT care for their customers whatsoever. True shame and I'm sorry I ever did order from there to begin with. Ironically, I've been ordering from an establishment near there with a good reputation and will never look back. Shame on you Newton Square Pizza, you lost a customer and potentially many more. Fortunately I did find "somewhere else to...
Read moreThis is a family run independent pizza/grinder/etc. shop, which means when you order something, you can ask them to add/subtract ingredients w/o any problems.
Their Onion Rings are HANDMADE too...the onion slips out from the soft yummy crust....mmmm. Everything I've had from pizza, grinders, french fries, cheesy garlic bread, etc. is fresh and flavorful.
Directly across the street is a park where you can sit on a bench to eat and "people watch" or to watch traffic at the rotary, which is actually fun! Sometimes there's people shooting hoops or playing tennis.
Thier menu includes simple/fancy pizza, grinders, and all kinds of appetizers. There is a few tables and also a longish window table with stools that faces the Rotary and park which you can view while waiting.
Parking is on the surrounding side streets or right on Pleasant st. next to the park and across from Newton Square Pizza.
(Delivery is an...
