2024 update: Getting all 5 stars now. They have great homemade style bugers& fries for an awesome price. Truly surprised at how good the burgers are, not just for a Mexican food place. The fries are seasoned and crispy like they were battered in dreams. Absolutely amazing golden fries. Nothing like McDs. We will be coming back here much more often now that I know about the burgers.

This food is bomb! The people are very friendly. This was my first visit so we got a little bit of everything. There was were some hiccups but overall really great! The burrito was stuffed and flavorful with abt a cup of rice & beans. The carnitas gordita was messy, full of meat & delish. The pork & chicken tamales were well seasoned, a nice size & really tasty. The cheese quesadilla was gooey & good on flour tortillas. The salsa verde is my favorite ever! But the enchiladas were flat as a quesadilla, hard and chewy, and tasted like the Styrofoam container they came in. We ordered flan but when we got home noticed it wasn't in the bag. So that was disappointing. But when I called the store they were very cool about it and fixed the problem right away. I am a big fan of Del Carmen and I've already told a bunch of people to get their butts over there! We will definitely be going back to try more burritos.

Update: So we went back last night because my husband was cravvvvving Del Carmen. Got a Carne Asade burrito dinner and a tostada and they made me this veggie burrito with rice, beans, cheese & green peppers. I wasn't hungry so I just ate a "bite" of his. And wrapped my burrito for today. Well today is my birthday 🎂 and idk if anyone will top a better gift than this PERFECT burrito that I woke up to! It's stuffed with big chunks of peppers, flavorf a fluffy tortilla, so much goodness! Happy Burrito Day to me! Well done Del Carmen. I just realized this burrito costs the same as 2 bean burritos + rice from the other cheap place (idk if I can name it). No more of that. Authentic all the way. Let me start off by saying I used to love this place. My family and I would eat here all the time. The food is good! However due to my experience yesterday I will never eat here again. I preordered dinner for my family. $40 worth. I picked up the food and went home. Yes I know I should have checked my food before I left however we were very hungry and had a long day and just wanted to get home. When we got home and went to eat, I was missing my husbands burrito. I called and let them know. The lady on the phone was so rude and told me over and over again it was there, “to look harder”. The burrito is $5.75. I’m not going to call and try to get a free burrito. Especially considering we eat here ALL the time. She never apologized she just kept telling me I was wrong and to look better. My husband drove back to Del Carmen. He dealt with the same woman. Extremely rude again. I wish I would have gotten her name. While he was there she told him next time if we forget something we are not replacing it ! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER...

My husband ordered here multiple times.. they keep switching what they say they can do for him in terms of the order.

On mondays, for the pick 3 combo, the harlem location lets us choose steak quesadilla but this location says no sometimes and sometimes yes. The last time the lady tried saying it’s 1.50 EXTRA EACH to upgrade the cheese quesadilla to steak quesadilla because that’s what it costs on menu…. On the menu it says the upgrade is only 40 cents. This is dishonest business and it’s not even about the money. It’s the concept and how sometimes it’s ok and sometimes you can’t do it and then want to add a charge now. I used to spend 30-80 dollars every week at the harlem location but the lady there messed up my order big time and was rude and a liar. I stopped going to Bridgeview location and wanted to still give del Carmen another chance.. now I don’t know anymore.
