A Memorable Visit to Mandi King – My Go-To Spot in Chicago
Last night, I had the pleasure of dining once again at my all-time favorite spot in Chicago – Mandi King. This place holds a special place in my heart, and last night marked my 10th visit, which says a lot about how much I enjoy it here. Every time I walk in, I'm greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly makes me feel at home. Whether you're coming with friends or family, the ambiance is cozy, culturally rich, and perfect for enjoying a hearty meal.
As always, I went with one of my favorite dishes – the Chicken Grill Mandi. The chicken was grilled to perfection, beautifully seasoned, and served hot. Each bite was flavorful, tender, and cooked exactly how I like it – well done. The rice was fragrant and delicious, pairing perfectly with the meat.
Before the main course arrived, I was served the traditional mandi soup, which never fails to impress me. It’s warm, comforting, and packed with flavor – the perfect way to start the meal. That soup alone is enough to get me excited for what’s coming next!
When it comes to pricing, I spent around $40 to $50, which I consider very reasonable, especially when compared to other mandi restaurants in Chicago. For the quality of food, the generous portions, and the overall dining experience, I truly believe it’s worth every penny.
In short, Mandi King continues to exceed my expectations with every visit. From the food to the service to the ambiance, it’s consistently a fantastic experience. If you’re a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine or just looking for a satisfying and flavorful meal, I highly recommend checking this place out. You won’t be...
Read moreWe received a coupon in the mail for this Restaurant. Because of the coupon, we wanted to try something different and we were not disappointed. The chef greeted us with a friendly smile. She provided us with a lot of details of the different types of food they offer. Since this was our 1st time here she was very helpful wirh explaining everything.
We decided to try several mediterranean meals. We ordered hummus with shwarma on top and kefta kabab's. Each plate came with an assortment of salads that were very refreshing. We're here to tell you that you can't go wrong with either one of these dishes. Both had a very unique flavor and were very tasty. The price for each dish are very reasonable and the portions were more than adequate.
Since the chef knew this was our 1st time in trying this type of food she treated us to a taste of a couple additional appetizers. She gave us a couple of falafel's and a serving of Baba ganush. Both were very fresh and the seasonings used were not Overbearing. We've tried falafels before at several different places and the seasonings were always a little too much.
There's still a lot of things on the menu that we want to try so we definitely will be back very soon. Be sure to give yourself a treat and try BarPizzaQue.
Thank you Chef, we will see you...
Read moreI'll start by mentioning that I'm a trucker (OTR). I'd gotten back here to Chicago Christmas Eve and every business I passed was closed by the time I pulled in. I passed by BarPizzaQue and seen that the lights were on inside and decided to stop. Unfortunately they were actually closing up for the night and locking up. Two young ladies apologized for my unfortunate situation of being late to dinner (lol) and yet took the time to re-open making sure I got a hot meal on Christmas Eve thereinwhich they neither had to accommodate. For that, I'm grateful 🙏. Not only did I get a hot meal, it was delicious 😋. The willingness to show that type of loving generosity and spirit is most times unheard-of these days. Its a beautiful restaurant, clean, and the food is excellent. Highly recommended. I returned today in support as well. BARPIZZAQUE would always be my first choice whenever I'm here in this area. Thank you to those women whom found it in their heart to re-open their doors for me. You know who you are....
