El Potrero Restaurante Y Taqueria — Restaurant in Worth Township

I came here earlier to try their menudo, I wanted to support a local business I walked in I ordered 1/2 gallon of menudo and waited a long time for my order, now I’m Mexican I know when I go to any other place on the weekend menudo is fast it’s already warm in the pot and ready to serve, I gave them the benefit of the doubt that maybe they are busy with online orders or something because the restaurant was not busy at allllll, after about 15 mins later I ask if she knew how much longer for my order she said “it’s almost ready he’s just heating it up” I then ask oh it’s not fresh ? And she said yes so now I’m confused because any other place like I said has it ready, so I wait more in my car went in and was about to ask for a refund because they were taking long but it was ready when I went back in , I went home (I live 3 blocks away) and still had to heat it up some more 🙄 when I went to try it the meat was gamy so nasty tasted like the meat was rotten! So nasty, I immediately packed everything and went back and told them and asked for a refund they then had a 5 min meeting or something in the back, the lady came back to tell me that they all tried it and it was not rotten and they would not refund me or credit me I was in shock I couldn’t believe it! I left upset left the food and all, Please be careful when ordering food from here someone can get...

I'll start with the service.... messed up entire order for 4 people on Mothers Day. I let the waitress know it was wrong when she brought the food out and the solution was to just get different tortillas yet the taco fillings were all wrong not just the type of tortilla. Then when another lady asked me how everything was I said well my entire order was wrong but it's whatever at this point. She let me know it was the girls first day. I felt bad but still not happy when the lady let me know I wasn't being charged for the cheese as a compensation. Basically, make sure you get the right order! Paid $50 for a dinner I didn't order. As far atmosphere... it was hot as all heck in there and just kept getting hotter.

The food I can't really say was bad cause I ate something I wouldn't order but my mom liked the guacamole.

Won't be vvisiting again...

I went there yesterday and the food was good but the customer service was horrible. When I walked in, the cashier did not greet me at all. I went to the counter to order and she finally said “I’ll be with you in one minute”. I waited 3 minutes to place my order and she wasn’t taking another order. I am non Spanish speaking. After I place my order and I am waiting, every person that came in behind me that was Spanish speaking, before they could get over the threshold, the cashier yelled “ Buenos Dias”. So I knew she did say it to me as I am not Hispanic but she did not greet me at all and she spoke great English. So I asked her why did you greet all the Hispanic customers but not me.
