I’m so sorry this happened Samaria Parks Joanna Rodriguez
🚨🚨LONG POST ALERT PLEASE READ!!! 🚨🚨
So today Samaria Parks had an Interview at Marge’s donut Den. She was so excited because she actually applied for the job back in March, she thought it would be a fun job. She sent me a text last week to tell me about her good news and she was so happy because the conversation with the manager went really well, all she had to do was go in for an inperson interview. Her interview was scheduled for Friday May 6th but 2 hours before her interview she got a call and was told to come on Monday May 9th instead. She shows up for her interview and is politely greeted by a woman and given a paper application. she starts filling it out and Marge walks up and asks Samaria “Why should I hire you?” Samaria begins to tell Marge what she feels are her best qualities as a potential employee, “I am responsible and reliable, I am a team player, I like to keep busy, I have volunteered for a non-profit so I learned good work ethic.” After she finishes explaining why she feels she would be a good candidate Marge snaps back at her saying “Well that doesn’t tell me that you are worth the salary I am paying for the job” in the middle of this one of Samaria’s former teachers walks in and see’s Her interviewing, the teacher walks over and proceeds to say “Sammie is such a sweet and caring girl she was one of my hardest working students” after this Marge says to Samaria “ your face is sickening, your piecings sicken me and I have to protect my customers from someone like you they won’t want to see those, the only job you could do is custodian no one pays attention to the custodian.” Samaria then says “we’ll I really want a job.” Marge reply’s. “I don’t know anything about you, I don’t just hire people off the street, My employees have been here for over 15 years I’m not going to hire someone just out to make money.” Samaria then thanks Marge for her time and asks for her application back and because her social security number is on it. Marge begins scribbling it out then she says “Yeah it’s probably best that you find employment elsewhere” she then tosses the application across the table past Samaria’s hand which she was holding out waiting for her to hand it to her.
Now Marge! let me introduce you to Samaria aka Sammie Parks
She really is a sweet and caring girl, do you know she was a Volunteer for Grand City Sports? She is an accomplish competitive cheerleader, she also played basketball and vollyball and ran track, in the off seasons she trained with her brothers football program which is also how she got involved in volunteering.
She is a singer and recorded her own single a couple years ago.
Do you know when her sister was severely burned in a fire and suffered 3rd degree burn on 40% of her body, Samaria stayed by her side day and night and barley left her side for the 45 days she was in the hospital, and helped care for her, she would be up with Savanna all day and all night. She helped feed her and helped bath her, she helped with some of her procedures when it came to removing the damaged skin from her body, when I had to go back to work she stayed with her so Savanna wouldn’t be left alone all day at the hospital. She spent nearly her entire summer at the age 16 at the hospital with her sister.
Do you know what you did was discriminatory, you judged my daughter without knowing her. I’m told the community loves you but with an attitude like yours, it’s hard to understand. You treated my daughter with disrespect and she did not deserve that. Because of the way you treated my daughter I will never spend another dime at your Donut shop and I will encourage my friend and family and acquaintances to do the same. Shame on your for the hurtful and mean things you said to an young girl about to graduate who was just looking...

Read moreService is good. Atmosphere is good. But the donuts I bought were so-so. In all fairness, I only ordered two, regular glazed donuts. The weight and consistency are good. The flavor is good but, unfortunately, they leave you with a powdery taste in your mouth afterward. It's almost as if they add more sugar to the glaze. Krispy Kreme does this and that's why I don't like Krispy Kreme. This place was quite busy so a lot of people apparently like them. But I was looking for one of those Asian owned donut shops there are a dime a dozen strewn throughout the country. But the area seems to lack these establishments. All in all I feel dissatisfied with the glazed donuts that I got. I ended up paying almost $4 for two donuts. I'm not from the area so I won't be back. But even if I was from the area I wouldn't go back to this shop. By the way... When I asked for donut holes the guy looked at me like I was Frankenstein – as if he doesn't know what a donut hole is. Maybe these people in Michigan don't know...
