Newly updated playground with an added splash pad which makes it a great place to bring the kids on those hot summer days to cool down for a bit. There's also a huge picnic seating area with shade accommodation, making it a great place to sit down/relax out of the sun while the little ones are out playing. Also, I'm very glad that the city of Wyoming's natural resource management decided to restore the original small local wetland where they had cut down/dredged to make a soccer field back when Jackson Park was once a middle school and not intermediate. That field always flooded periodically for weeks at a time during the rainy seasons due to lack of vegetation/ and other herbaceous plants that would have normally helped minimize the amount of water build up because they would have acted as a natural buffer system. Read moreThe first phase of this redeveloped park is now open. The bathrooms, splash pad, playground, and seating/picnic are new and attractive. I imagine the hill nearby will be used for sledding more than it has been.
