Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Wytheville

My buddy and I absolutely love this place. I was trained by a 5 star resort hotel and formal dining restaurant. I waitresses and worked there for quite a few seasons... and the staff were all given top notch rave reviews,, we serviced our patrons with excellent food, great dining and each time our patrons had a happy and wonderful experience. Our resort developed a cult following. As part of the staff's added benefits, we could eat our meals there for free. We also had the 5 star experience as well. That's how I would rate this place. We always get our family sized meals to go, so that we may eat in the privacy of our own home. There is always a line when placing an order, but the staff there are like a well oiled machine, so there's not much of a wait. The food is always piping hot and fresh, and juicy. I whole heartily recommend Popeyes Chicken. It is so flavorful. Please yawl, try it out on Pepper Ferry road in Wytheville. We eat there at least once a week. Like I said, we always get the family meal when there's only just the two of us, so we have leftovers the next day. After the leftovers are scarfed up, and while we let the digestion begin, we think out loud about what a treat it was to have such a delicious meal, we start counting down the next 7 days, until we go there again. We have been repeat customers for the last 12 years. There's been a few management problems there, and when ever I would voice a complaint.... they would always treat me like royalty and immediately comp the full price at what we payed. I would argue with them that it wasn't necessary,, but the management would quote what we we were trained to say at the resort, whenever there was an issue ,... the quote is "I'm so very sorry, The customer is always right, please, let us make it up to you. Please allow us this,, because we pride ourselves in our reputation!! Update edit. We ended up never getting our food. We waited in line for 22 mins with only two people ahead of us. Finally take the order. After 15 more mins we asked how much longer and they rudely said 8 more mins. That's 23 min cook time for 2 chicken wraps and chicken dunkers. We get a full blown sit down Mexican food cooked for us in 20 minutes. The manager then refused to give us our food because we told her that amount of time is unacceptable and our kids are starving. She then said she didn't care if our child starved. Also said we should have went to Taco Bell or subway. So not only does your manager have zero management skills she's also sending your customers to other food establishments. Several other customers also then left the long line. After seeing hundreds of reviews similar to ours we contacted corporate in hopes they will step in. This place is an embarrassment Whoever runs this branch should be ashamed of themselves. The manager should be fired immediately. We lost an hour of time on our trip south and never even got our food.. we were completely disrespected by the manager and the lady taking the order. 20 years of eating Popeyes and I've never waited even close to that amount of time. Beyond unexceptable I've never seen such laziness and disrespect in any establishment like that...

We came here during a road trip, ordered ghost pepper wings (12pc) and a chicken sandwich. Ahead of us, there were 2 people waiting on orders. It took them about 30 minutes to hand the first woman in line her order. Currently, I am still waiting in line for my chicken…Everyone else around me is also extremely annoyed. They pushed back the queue on my ghost pepper wings and now i’m waiting extra time on top of how long i’ve already been waiting.

Something that I am finding very frustrating is the fact that they are continuously taking orders before completing other ones. Now, where I work we are also relatively being rushed around and trying to find the cadence between making & taking orders. But I have never seen a group of people be so extremely bad at it. Lastly, a few of the women kept going into the back and very obviously going on their phones.

Please…If you’re going to be in a rest stop area…Make your service quick.

⭐️ Update: got my food, couldn’t even give me the right wings. Super frustrating. ESPECIALLY FOR A 50-60...
