Wytheville Community College — Attraction in Wytheville

This is not a safe academic environment. One or more student(s) lied, with at least one reportedly accusing I instructed her to leave the college. The emails to follow are unbelievable, which have been retained.

The college president stated accusations are considered true claiming several people "substaniated" the claim(s). Amazingly, the college president refused to investigate the incident(s) including review of footage, which if including audio would validate what occurred, and refused to provide me with a contact other than himself stating he is not under any other authority as there is no method for disputing a claim brought to him. I cannot use the library at the college, as it was indicated multiple sources accused me, of what I cannot say as I was denied a copy of the accusations!

Having applied to the college previous to the incident where the student entered the library appearing upset and loudly corresponding to presumably another student, not appropriate in character portraying as an adult doll-like female, the student loudly placed keys on the table beside me and proceeded. The library was typically reasonably loud, with students discussing academic work. The interaction was most appropriate.

It is dangerous to only accept claim(s) from one source(s), particularly when multiple people are lying together, with no investigation permitted to review footage and to obtain audio, and then not informing what claims could exist as interactions with any were almost none. I was spoken down to called a patron even after informing I had already applied when the incident occurred, attempting to complete an acciunt retrieval process.

This leaves students and any on campus vulnerable to favoritism and decisions made not based on an investigation. Multiple people do lie. The female portraying as an adult-like doll leered provokingly, at me after the other exited on her own accord, with no previous incident to explain the behavior (however she was noticed doing the same a day previous with me continuing past her not addressing the intense and immature staring).

There is always an authority above a college president. The correspondence is unbelievable. There is no respect for what occurred, those involved and for the college president. Additionally, no student should be dressed...

Where should I begin? The people in the financial aid office are rude! I had trouble going to school continuously because I had problems with money. I was independent at 19 years old but they offered no suggestions on what to do to prove that I was independent. They were condescending, and cut me off while I was talking. It took me 5 years to get a 2 year degree because of this. The sad this is that I was a good student with a 4.0 GPA.

What also contributed to taking so long in getting my degree was the advisers! They are such jokes! I was told in spring of 2013 that if I took one more class in the summer and applied for summer graduation I could get my degree. I got my adviser to sign off on it and applied for graduation - but AFTER THE SUMMER - I was told that there was another class I needed to take. Apparently something had changed in the 5 years while I was there and I had to take a class I didn't know about.

The bottom line is: this is a community college and it has a bunch of jokes...

This college DOES NOT follow the ADA (American with Disabilities Act) of 1990. They're instructors did, knowingly, and purposefully deny reasonable accommodation's (approved accommodations) to a person with a known disability and said person had a disability accommodation on file with the Virginia Community College system and individual school. The instructor even mocked the person with said disability during email communications, the student advisor(s) would not assist with the situation. Then as a direct result of this discriminatory & unlawful behavior, the student failed the class and the college wants reimbursed, now in collections. AUGUST 1 2022: Spoke with an alleged dean, said she doesn't interrupt the law like I do when it comes to reasonable accommodations, i.e. turning in work late due to SERVICE CONNECTED CONDITIONS!
