A Memorable Meal at Upper Echelon We recently had a wonderful dining experience at Upper Echelon, a local gem in Xenia, Ohio. It's clear the owner's dedication shines through in every detail, from the inviting ambiance to the meticulously crafted dishes. Whether you're looking for a family dinner or a relaxed evening enjoying good music and drinks, Upper Echelon delivers. For our meal, I indulged in the lobster ravioli, which was absolutely phenomenal. My wife couldn't get enough of her glazed chicken, and we both thoroughly enjoyed the savory bacon ranch chicken flatbread. While I opted for a bottle of their delightful house wine to go (having already savored an Old Fashioned that rivaled those from high-end establishments), their drink menu is certainly worth exploring. Meeting the owner was a highlight. He's a genuinely respectable individual whose passion for creating unique and delicious food is evident in every bite. You can truly taste the heart he puts into his recipes. Discovering new local restaurants in the greater Dayton area is always a treat, and Upper Echelon has definitely earned a top spot on my list. A very strange place, fancy dining, Jazz music, urban décor, I didn't know what to expect but it gets really high reviews so me and some friends gave it a try. One word. Amazing. The staff are fast and attentive, the food is amazing I had shrimp fettuccini that would make olive garden ashamed to be in business, and I orders some of their chicken wings for fun, there were cooked perfectly, seasoned with the coating baked on not slathered in sauce. Great service, great food. The bourbon-glazed chicken was amazing and the Alfredo pasta was delicious. Our server was attentive, but not overbearing and did a great job with providing suggestions and easily accommodated some minor modifications (like no peppers with the veggie of the day). I love that we could support a small business too! The only reason the "atmosphere" gets four rather than five stars is that the outside of the building is rather off-putting with the blacked-out windows. Inside is very classy and inviting. So, don't let the exterior deter you! This could be your new favorite...
