Eating and Drinking in Puerto Rico

Eating and Drinking in Puerto Rico

This restaurant is housed in a beautifully preserved antique home dating back to 1910. It blends history with exceptional hospitality. The service was outstanding, demonstrating thoughtfulness beyond expectations. One impressive moment was when our server noticed that someone in our group ordered a coffee latte with almond milk alongside an oatmeal plate. Shortly after, he returned to respectfully ask whether we would also prefer the oatmeal with almond milk, ensuring a perfectly tailored food experience for everyone and especially for those with dairy sensitivities. The coffee latte was a masterpiece, striking the perfect balance between richness and smoothness. As for the food, every dish was crafted to perfection, delivering an exquisite brunch experience. Whether you're in the mood for brunch, a relaxed non-brunch meal, or simply a drink over a great conversation, this spot is a must-visit. The atmosphere is very very and very welcoming, enhanced by the presence of friendly little birds that occasionally make an appearance at your table, adding to the charm. We had a truly memorable experience, which combines flavor, warmth, and character in a setting that transports you through time. Highly recommended!

I usually don't write reviews because I often find something to complain about. The moment I sat in Douche Salao it all looked nice. Then when my food and drink came I was interested. But it was when I tried the food that I was genuinely impressed with the food. The flavour of the food was the best I ate from a Puertorrican restaurant, and I am Puertorrican and lived here for 20 years. I ordered "El Cerro" and every thing tasted better than great. But the food isn't the only great thing, the music, the view, the slight breeze it all comes together to make a great experience. Finally the staff was great, social and willing to joke around, especially Michelle who was great to talk too and joke around with. All in all, if anyone were to ask me where they can get good Puertorrican food and an wonderful experience I would recommend Dolce Salao in a heart beat. Sincerely, -a very picky eater that always finds something to complain about.

On May 21 2023 my family and I had a reservation for 11:00am. We were a party of 4, we were seated and after a little while the waitress came by our table and we placed our order for our beverages then later for our food. 15 minutes later we were served our beverages. After waiting a long while we were finally served our meal and the food was ok, but sadly my husband dish was very, very salty and he was only able to eat half of it. He decided not to complain to the waitress at the time because our family that had come to visit for the US were with us and he did not want to ruin everyone’s good time. So we payed the bill and we left. When we got home he contacted the restaurant through messenger and someone responded and they gave him three options to be able to resolve the issue.

An electronic gift card A refund through ATH móvil Return to the restaurant and they would redo the dish complimentary

My husband contacted the person that wrote to him and told him that he would prefer to return to the restaurant another day to have the dish redone. This person never gave him a time frame to return. Today my husband called and spoke to Joshua and explained the situation to see if we could go tomorrow and the ONLY OPTION given was to go to the restaurant between 8:00-8:30 am. But sadly we can’t make it at that time. So my husband wanted to see if we could go at a different time or a different day during the week but Joshua recklessly insist that it was the Only option that he was willing to give. So then my husband ask if he could stop by tomorrow during the day and get the refund that was also offered but Joshua said No! My husband asked if there was anything else that could be done and again Joshua said No! So my husband told him that we could not go at the times he said and so this issue was never solved! When it come to customer service Joshua gets a Bid Fat ZERO! If I could give this experience less than One Star a would!!! My husband I will never return to this restaurant after...

Saludos Anoche fuimos a Dolche Salao a cenar.

Felicitaciones y larga vida a...
