Travel Log, 19 Elul 5785,
As I embark on a new journey, I find myself in a state all too familiar to me - hunger. As I open Google Maps to search for a restaurant, I see a restaurant that I've had previous good experiences with - Wendy's. As I walk into Wendy's, I am greeted by the staff. There's not much to be said about the staff. They are not impolite, nor are they overly friendly. I walk up to the electronic menu board tablet to place an order. Sausage and Cheese English Muffin, I select. An error message appears on the screen, and I must restart my order. I make another attempt. Sausage and Cheese English Muffin. Error message. One more attempt and it works. As I continue my order, I am greeted by another error message. I had taken too much of this menu board's precious time, and it decided to end my order before it could even be placed. I've used this word before, and I'll use it again - diabolical. My party ends up ordering at the counter instead. We place our order and fill our drinks with the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine. Verily, a majestic machine indeed, but then disaster struck, all the best soda selections were out of syrup. Dare I say it - diabolical. I walk into the restroom. Every Wendy's restroom is the same, and none of them are decent enough to be used. They are like a torture too extreme for the worst of the tyrant Kings of Mundus. Dare I put diabolical three times in the same review. However, the experience was not overall bad, as they had Tesla Superchargers, Christian radio, and, when a certain member in my party spilled his drink, and we asked for a mop to clean it up ourselves, the staff politely cleaned it for us - UN-diabolical. :) Overall, what we had planned on being a ten-minute stop ended up turning into a half-hour break, putting a sizable dent in the metallic armor that is the time we had to finish our drive. However, the food was verily good indeed, and the chocolate cold brew coffee that I got was most certainly not the best coffee I've ever had, but definitely a very good coffee. My trip was an enjoyable experience overall, and I will keep you updated as I continue my travels to the magical place which they...

I do not usually go to fast food joints to begin with, but, in this instance I was very hungry and it was a choice between Wendy's, McDonalds, and Waffle House. I chose Wendy's because the last time I ordered from one of their francises (before Y2K), I enjoyed their loaded baked potato and a bowl of chili, which was what I wanted to get. Well, neither was on the menu. So, before I decided on a grilled chicken sandwich, I asked the order taker what was on it. I was told, "just tomato." I asked if there was any lettuce or condiments like mustard or mayo. I was told, "no." So, I ordered the grilled chicken combo meal, requested to add lettuce and some mayo on the side. She rang up my order and failed to give me a receipt. When I asked for one, I was told that I couldn't get one because she couldn't get the printer to work right (and seemed too lazy to try fixing it or getting the manager to fix it).
Then, when I received my order, the fries were soggy, there was no mayo as requested, and there was honey-mustard spread on the bun! When I explained that was not what I ordered, the people behind the counter told me that was what was entered and they acted as if they were being very put out because I wanted what I ordered. After several minutes of explaining to these folks the situation, they finally gave me the chicken sandwhich as I had originally ordered, no apology, no anything for the inconvenience to my time, nothing. And it wasn't even busy. . ....

Friendly, engaging, on top of everything and what an exceptionally amazing example of how you should act as Manager and role model for the other employees. What a pleasant surprise for us as customers! An employee must have just come on duty and was not dressed to her standards with an untucked shirt and she quietly, respectfully but sternly told him to get it together and get that shirt tucked in. The restaurant was clean, was stocked with supplies like ketchup, straws napkins and the are was neat and clean. She even gave a shout out using my wife’s name she gave when we ordered and asked how everything was. What a welcoming positive energetic employee. We were just passing through on our way home to FL and stopped for lunch after 6 hours on the road. We have never been in a fast food restaurant and experienced such a positive friendly visit. The only complaint would be the bathrooms which were clean but there were some things that need to be replaced and fixed, also the pocketbook hook is on the outside of the door LOL Shout out to Latrille from Kim and Stacie for going out of her way to make us feel important and welcome. We watched her with another dozen customers and it just made us smile!...
