While on vacation, my husband and I with our son decided to try LuLu’s. The host was very polite and quickly checked us in and tried to get us seated. We noticed the space was a bit tight with our stroller. As we were still talking to the host about possibly moving, a waitress abruptly came up and said, “You’re going to have to move, this just isn’t going to work,” in a rude tone, rolling her eyes and making dismissive hand gestures. I calmly responded that we were already discussing it, but her attitude was completely unnecessary. We waited patiently for a more suitable table and even passed on two high-tops because we didn’t want to be in anyone’s way. When we were finally seated, the same waitress made a passive-aggressive comment about our stroller to the table in front of us instead of addressing us directly. She then kicked the stroller, and when my husband got up to move it in further, she aggressively pushed in his seat behind him. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the way we were treated. We were polite, patient, and tried to accommodate the space as best we could. This waitress clearly needs to work on her hospitality skills and basic courtesy. The host was great, and our waitress but unfortunately the other waitress completely ruined the...
Read moreWe have stayed at all their locations many many times. We have never been so disrespected as we were this evening. There was even another customer at the bar who couldn’t believe it as he watched the whole situation. We had asked the host to seat us not once not twice but three different times and she totally blew us off because we said we’re only wanted some cocktails before we went up to our room. Yes our room that we’re staying at for the millionth time after eating at Stonesthrow and being treated perfectly as you should so I am not sure what her issue is. But we gave her the benefit of the doubt three different occasions were nothing but nice to her all three times. Also, we were tipping their employees almost 40% all day. There was plenty of tables for her to see us at. We have done nothing but praise all four locations nonstop for years but after the way we were treated tonight I don’t even know if we...
Read moreAfter eating at Stone's Throw, which is owned by the same family (and where I paid $20 to add 3 scallops to a pasta dish), my husband and I wanted to get a drink here. There were many open seats around fire pits on the lawn. We asked the hostess if we could just get drinks and sit out there and she said yes. After getting two $16 drinks, we went to sit in some open seats on the lawn and a different employee said we couldn't. So, we stood at the edge of the lawn to try and quickly drink then leave. Then, another employee asked us to get off of the lawn and stand on the sidewalk because the lawn apparently had a wait list? I found the experience to be completely ridiculous and hope that this becomes a more relaxed and welcoming atmosphere...
