Hello everyone,
Please be aware! When dining at this place. I was there yesterday and I ordered the three combo the jumbo shrimp, the jumbo scallops and the Alaskan Whiting fish. As I begin to eat the seafood I noticed that it was very tough, then I decided to pull the bread off the scallops and I noticed that the scallops was freezer burned! When I brought it to the owner's attention the excuse he had given me was unacceptable! Then bill came up to $40 and some change. My friend had given the waitress $50 and the remaining change the waitress had the audacity to keep the $9 and change for her tip then come back to ask if the tip was for her! Now you tell me who in Rock Hill South Carolina is giving someone a $9 tip for $40 bill on the other hand who asks for a tip if the tip is meant for you the customer will leave it on the table or give it to you in your hand and say this is for you. You don't ask the customer after you pocketed the money and then come back and say oh I just wanted to make sure if that was for me! Really? you don't do that I think it's unethical and very low class. I will not ever go to this restaurant again!!! I don't care how far is Captain Steve's is I will go because I know I will get fresh seafood there on the other hand, I hate to leave this review because it's a small restaurant and I like the patronize them but at the end at the same time the owner have to be responsible for his actions. I realize the portions are very small but the prices went up it's either you going to increase your price and leave the portion or reduce the portion and reduce your price either or you can't do both...
Read moreTo start with the salad bar had lettuce greens that where wilted and brown. The hush puppies that was brought to the table was burnt but the girl said sorry but the hush puppies are a little burnt and left them on the table anyway. What??? I ordered the special baby flounder and shrimp with a baked potato. The potato was so cold it would not even melt the butter. The fish on the plate was 3 pieces the size of a small cat fish nugget if it was even that big. My husband had the senior catfish filet that had 2 filets on the plate and my 3 little pieces of flounder together was not equal to 1 piece of his fish. The shrimp was the size of very small salad shrimp with bits of hard cooked flour mixed in. I informed the manager at check out I want be back. I told him a few things about the experience and he did say he was sorry as he was taking my money for the meal....
Read moreWent today 8/24 wife order clam strips and scallops. Clam strips was clumped together and scallops tasted watery. I Had calabash shrimp and Oysters none of the oysters was any bigger than a quarter and some small as a penny. My daughter ordered spaghetti that hardly had any sauce and tasted like Starch. We also witnessed a waitress, put the cocktail sauce and tartar sauce that comes in the containers back into use that was left on someone’s table after they left instead of throwing them away. My wife’s container of cocktail sauce was all gelled up. The owner explained that it gets that way because they have to keep it in a commercial refrigerator. I would have been ashamed to serve anybody the food that we...
