Okay so let me set the mood for you. 2 tables sat eating before we walked in. We enter at 6:30pm, the single server (Abbie) didn't even say hello welcome in or anything. We walk over to our table, sit down. Here she comes. Still no greeting but asks what we'd like. We ask for drinks and to be given a moment please. She comes back with drinks and stands waiting, not saying anything. No cook in sight, still. We order. She goes and makes our waffle. No cook. After our waffle starts beeping the cook finally comes from the back and they start mumbling the order and talking about it together, she didn't call the oder out at all (which is fine. Whatever). Two more tables walk in. She brings our waffle and walks off. She is slow to go to them. Gets their orders before their silverware. At this time our food is up and the cook has told her at least 2 times to come on and get it. We've finished the waffle and our drinks. We still wait. The cook finally brings us our food. Which, my sandwich is burnt on both sides and both our plates of food are just barely Luke warm.
Neither of our TxBCS melts have pickles or mayo on the plates.
She never comes back to us. At 7:30 I finally stand up and walk to the register where she stood avoiding us the entire time. She still hadn't tallied our bill. So had to stand there and wait for her to tally. At this point she asked if everything was okay. I said yeah just to pay and leave. I had taken 2 bites of my sandwich, and shared my hashbrowns with my toddler.
This was the worst experience I've had here yet. I don't know why I keep coming back and giving them a chance. I wasted $33 and an hour of my time to leave hungry and angry.
I'm not a Karen and I don't usually like to complain, especially to those who make my food. I also work in the service/ food industry so I get how it can be. But she was lacking in every area. So was the cook. He disappeared after making our food. He could have helped her more. When he came back he asked a table what they wanted to eat. She didn't even take their order or anything. She moves slow. She is slow to getting their drinks, their order. Her communication is awful. She mumbles and just doesn't interact.
I understand things happen. But I'm highly unsatisfied with this visit and will not be back. I'll stick to the...
Read moreNo one greeted us, even after standing for 10 plus minutes; another gentleman was sitting and waiting ahead of us, when a booth came open the gentleman told us (2 of us) to take the booth he was waiting for someone, after not being acknowledged all this wait time a girl behind the counter with red hair began to YELL we had "taken" that man's seat, we needed to get up" even though the gentleman was trying to tell her he told us to take the booth. I did not appreciate being YELLED at in a packed Waffle House especially when we had not been greeted, given a wait time, asked if we wanted to order to go,someone would seat us or not, not even a welcome to Waffle House be with you in a minute. T Then to Yell across the place was truly an insult to everyone in the their . Then after we seated ourselves, people were coming in and sitting at the counter that had no sign saying not to sit at the counter and they just let them sit until they asked if they could order only to be told no one was being served at the counter, one couple left. Two cooks burnt 4 plates of bacon and tossed them in the trash and laughed about it, and the employees were describing the customers as " the table with the old man" , "the table with the loud kids. I know everyone is struggling to have full staffs and stay open but this group of workers lacked everything customer service stands for., even if they think they can't be replaced because they already have openings they can't fill, they will be running the customers off because no one wants to pay to be insulted and made feel like they would rather you had gone somewhere else. It was the worst behavior, especially from the girl with red hair I have ever encountered. I have eaten at 5 star restaurants to hidden off road dives but all of them were courteous and greeted us with a smile, no matter how busy or shorthanded. All anyone had to say was we apologize but there will be a wait and we will seat you as soon as possible. Also if they are going to have no seating at the counter, make a sign or rope off the chairs. Maybe a review of the cameras at this location can show how the staff is towards the customers. It is bad. A smile and we will be with you shortly would not kill anyone to say. We want be back unfortunately but the service was just...
Read moreSo I go in and I am told that there is a half hour wait for take out. The waitress then proceeded to take TWO takeout orders that came in after. While waiting for someone to take my order the waitress who took the two people after me, proceeded to let Miss Bess/Beth that her mama and aunty had arrived, and she would take care of them. (They arrived after me.) About 3-5 mins after this exchange. Miss Beth/Bess realized I've been sitting quietly waiting my turn. I had been there for 25 mins at this point. Why did I wait? My kid is working a double shift. He's getting what he wants for lunch. Ok finally place my order. Asked for an extra order of toast. Didn't get it nor was I charged for it. Order is finally ready asked for sunny side up, got over easy. Did I wait for them to fix it? No plain and simple I was now seriously running out of time to get the food and get it to my kid who's working a double. As always with this chain in my area, poor service. They only seem to acknowledge people who appear to be big tippers, or friends and family. As always with this chain in my area you won't get what you ordered, and when doing take out it's even worse. There are 4 Waffle house's in my area and I can say that they are consistent in all having...
