Kind of long but here it is. My wife and I have been going to El Paso for about 8 years now. The New Iberia location and Lafayette location is our normal and we love it. Today my wife said baby I'm hungry and I know exactly what I want to eat. I said what would you like to eat she said El Paso. I said sounds good. She says I'm going to call it in so we can just pick it up and I said sounds good. She made the phone call and ordered two enchilada elcobron no red or green sauce extra steak. They said it would be ready in ten minutes so we leave. As we pull in my wife asked me to get down and get it because our 20 month old won't let her out of her sight. So I walk in they tell me go to the bar so I do. She asked me if I needed anything and I told her I was there to pick up my order. She went to the back grabbed my order and told me the price. It was $64.83. Ok I said to myself something is off I never pay more than $20.00 for one meal. Still I paid the bill and took my food without questions. Told my wife the price when I got in the car and she said really.....that's about right prices went up. My words to her were I thought it was like $14 or $16 a plate. She said $20 sounds about right. I said yeah but still 20 and 20 is 40 where did the other 24 dollars come into play for sure the taxes can't be that high just cause it'sin Youngsville. Unfortunately that is where the conversation ended until we got home and started eating. She said the food left a bad taste in her mouth so she couldn't eat it. I tried to eat mine and couldn't bare the taste or the peas, corn, green beans, carrots, and lima beans in my rice. I will be trying the El Paso in Lafayette tomorrow and will update this post and if it is not the same the owner in Youngsville should not change something that's not broken only to make it look fancy so they can up the price to...
Read moreIf I could give a zero I would. Was there last night 8/22/25 the band X- Change was great. We got there at 4:50 and were told we had to sit on the outer part because there was a birthday party under the covered part. Well it was after 6 we still didn't have menu nor water. My friend went inside to get us some chips and dip. Finally at around 6:30 we got our drink order in everyone got theirs but me. Had to go run down the waiter to get my drink. Then we finally put our order in and had to wait more than 40 minutes to get our food. Food was COLD AND NASTY. I ordered some soft shell tacos and it looked like as though they just threw it onto the plate. And since eating them I have had stomach problem and not only me also my friends. Then when we got our bill everyone at our table bill was all screwed up it took 3 attempts to get it right. I will go listen to bands but I will NEVER EAT AT THAT PLACE AGAIN NOR WILL MY FRIENDS. Oh and have been there several times and asked about reserving a table and told NO. But last night they okay a spot of 50 people. WHY???? Because they were going to get a big gratuity. If you are going to do for some you should do for all no matter how many is in your party. This comment probably will NOT get a response nor will management have anything to say. I KNOW this to be true because they only response to some of the positive...
Read moreWhen we go there they had live music, so we wanted to sit outside. I told the host that we would like to sit outside and she told us that there was going to be a 30 minutes wait but the inside had no wait I told her that I didn't mind the wait, we went to the bar and order a margarita, about 15 minutes later they call us. Till then everything was ok. Someone came with some chips and salsa, then we wait and wait...we wanted to start with an appetizer but the server never showed up to introduce him/her self, 40 minutes later I ask the lady the brought our chips to talk to the manager, and then things got weird, he come and asked us what was wrong we told him that that we been wait for our waiter for 40 minutes, he told me that perhaps the waiter saw our drink and believe we were already helped, so I said but no one has come to ever introduce themselves and even offer water or something else, anyway the manager left and then the host come and being to question me, asked me what name I told you was going to help you at the table? I looked at her wondering why she was upset and how in the world I was questioned by her. Honestly, the experience was awful. I don't think I would go there again. Food is ok, not over the top and not authentic...
