Oh my Dear Lord, either we went on the wrong night or this place is snobby! I think the employees expect that we know what we are doing but we felt like fish out of water and we paid for it! My husband and I went up to register to order. We hadn't looked at menus because we thought we would be seated. Instead, the guy at register said we could look over menu right there. So we did. A few people formed a line behind us. The LADY BEHIND ME TOOK MY MENU FROM THE COUNTER THAT I WAS OBVIOUSLY LOOKING AT. Mind you, there was a slot on the side of me with a few menus. Anyway, we ordered our meals and paid. We sat at the bar because there were no tables available at the time. People constantly reached over us for straws and kept hollering orders right behind me. Did they not see me eating right there? Seems like they Must've been long patrons of the restaurant and I understand to a certain extent. Either way, the employees were not rude but never made eye contact with us. The crawfish was delishous and so was my fried shrimp. I ordered funnel cake fries. They were horrid! I had to spit it out! They tasted like French fries with powdered sugar on top. It was a disappointing experience from a restaurant so...

I order chicken tenders, expecting very nice hand battered chicken tenders, something close to the same level as the burger. I have never been so disrespected from a food establishment to charge me 12$ for the chicken tender meal which was literally chicken nuggets like you would get at a public school. The only reason they were even close to decent is because it was deep fried. Once again going off the burger I expected really good food, but apparently the burger is all they do...
Read moreMorvant's has ALWAYS had one of the best burgers in the Acadiana area. They use the same recipe as the previous place did smashing a big meatball on the grill. My dad has been taking me there since I was a kid in the 1970's when it was another place that I know how to pronounce but not spell and had a card game going on in the back room. We would often drive from Lafayette to have a burger for lunch. I wanna try their crawfish next season. The interior of the original part of the building is still the same. Great memories. You MUST try one of these burgers. It's a true...
