Mighty Moo Ice Cream — Restaurant in Youngtown

Update: we have tried this ice cream on 3 more occasions and something changed between December 2020 and January 2021. The flavors lack depth but the worst part is the texture of the ice cream. On 3 occasions my family all went and we were unable to finish the ice cream due to the grainy and weird texture. This was the case with following flavors: Rootbeer, Cherry Pie, Vanilla, Unfortunately today was the last strike. We want it to taste like it did in December so bad but unfortunately it doesn't. Please fix the ice cream, it was so good before.

I recently moved from the east valley a week ago and we wanted to see the ice cream shops in the area. Excellent ice cream and service when we visited on a Sunday at 8pm. I ordered the "wookie" and it was a snickerdoodle cookie (baked fresh when I ordered) with ice cream of my choice. I had the peppermint cheesecake which was AMAZING. When you walk into Mighty Moo's, sugar fills the air! The first thing you see are the sweet creamery offerings in the ice cream case, strategically placed by the entrance. When we walked in the owner was "testing" (i.e. tasting) a homemade whipped cream topping he just made.

The server offered me a taste of "any or all" of their samples. I tried the Banana Nutella. With it's all natural color and flavor, it was fruity nutty goodness! Then the server tempted me with another sample - Salted Carmel Butter Pecan and I was sold! The balance between salty and sweet was just right!

All of their ice creams are made with all natural ingredients and no color dyes added. Their ice cream flavors change from time to time as the "sugar muse" hits the fancy of the owner, Chief Ice Cream Maker. They had 24 flavors to choose from ranging from Vanilla Bean to Pickle to Oreo Cheesecake!

We drove up from Glendale and it's definitely worth the trip (9 miles). It's almost basically a straight shot off the 101 to the 60 west. We could have found ice cream closer but the ice cream and the service would not have been as...

Mighty Moo Ice Cream has the best milkshakes and malts in Arizona in my opinion. I have been here a few times, and while it is a considerable distance from where I live, it is worth it.

I recently visited for the first time since it reopened and changed ownership. The owner, Tim, is a very nice guy who cares about everyone in his shop having a great experience. Even with the change in ownership, the high quality of the ice cream has remained intact.

My favorite flavors of ice cream are cake batter, birthday cake, and salted caramel. Their birthday cake ice cream is some of the best I have ever had. It makes a delicious milkshake or malt. I also like their salted caramel truffle flavor.

The atmosphere is pleasant and a great place to relax and enjoy your ice cream. It also smells fantastic, especially when you get the aroma of freshly baked waffle cones.
