I have tried 4 times to contact the owner/GM - and he has yet to reply - so I am going ahead with my review. I have been to the restaurant twice before and although it wasn't anything I would rave about it - it was OK. We thought it would be a good place to meet friends that had never been so recommended it. Arrived around 1 and seated right away. Probably placed our order w/in 15 mins of seating. Quite some time (25-30 min) later my order arrived and my plate sat in front of me for a good 5 min. with the other 3 orders not in sight. I caught the eye of a manager (Nick) walking by who noticed my food was the only one on the table and so he came over to say he was sorry it got brought out ahead and would send it back and remake the burger. (I actually offered to just have him keep it warm if for just a few minutes) Well 20 MINUTES later the food got brought back out. (when I spoke with server on the phone later she even commented how bad that was) My burger had been remade but my fries cold. The other lady had ordered just a bison burger and salad. They brought out her burger on a huge plate - all by itself, not even on a piece of lettuce.....and NO side salad. Server apologized.....5 minutes later comes back and she is surprised that the salad was still not brought out. (I mean come ON - shouldn't the salad have been ready to just place the bison burger on the dinner plate?!?!) Obviously our group is not pleased with service but we were kind about it - knowing it wasn't the server's fault(who said she had only been there 2 weeks) . She spoke with Jan (another manager) and then offered me a desert. Me, not everyone. Well this was almost 2 hours into this fiasco, I didn't want a desert anyway and I sure didn't want to wait another 1/2 hour to get it! I went to the bathroom and a conversation between our guest and server took place and he verbalized that he didn't think a dessert was appropriate....so a 10% discount to our bill was applied. Now, mind you my husband and I did not have expensive meals here or drinks. We are talking a $3.30 discount.....what a joke. As I mentioned later to our server, what would have been fair (and she completely agreed and said it was what she wanted) was to at least comp the ladies meals...which were the 2 least expensive meals of the 4. That should've been bare minimum and would've been good business for them. Our guest mentioned he had taken a business group to Morton's and it had been a similar bunch of errors (at least 3 errors/take backs) - and they were so gracious to comp the ENTIRE bill for 16 people!!! Good business for them because this man talks about how they did the right thing...knowing that mistakes happen but you don't make the customer pay for the problems of your business. When I left - Nick, Jan and our server were at the entrance and I communicated to them about how disappointing it was that we brought friends that we had not seen in a long time, recommended this place and then had such a bad experience. All I got was continued blame about "their kitchen". When I asked Nick and Jan would they have been satisfied with such service and then a 10% "discount" - all I got were blank stares. On the upside the grounds our beautiful and we had a lovely view outside on the balcony. Thank goodness we chose to sit outside! I am sure this place will do very well with their wedding venues and such - so maybe they don't care about the people that come with hard earned money for a decent meal and service. On their FB yesterday they posted "This is our way of showing you that we are about quality, and most importantly, the guest experience." I commented not about guest experience if the owner/GM won't even respond to my calls. Of course they deleted my comment there......and I still didn't get a call. Won't be back. Even the food isn't good enough to want...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience. The service we received was very disappointing. We were celebrating my father's birthday and it was supposed to be a special occasion, which is why we decided to splurge on a nice dinner. To begin with, we almost never saw our server other than to order drinks and food and check on us one time, a long while after we received our food. We had to ask anyone we could find to get us the things we needed. I told our server that my husband and I would be sharing the ribeye with a lobster tail, yet we had to ask for an extra plate. My sister and her husband also told the server that they were sharing their meal and had to ask for an extra plate as well. We ordered 3 desserts that were clearly meant to be shared between all of us and had to bother someone else to get us extra forks and spoons. We had to ask multiple people for various things like butter and horseradish. The kids meals and burger did not come with ketchup for the french fries, which we had to ask for. My husband ordered coffee with the dessert and the server neither asked if he wanted cream, nor brought any out. The only positive thing was that there was always someone coming by to refill our drinks, but any time we asked them or any of the people who ran our food out to get us anything, they all seemed very annoyed with us asking them for things. Which is fair, being that our server should have been there to get it for us. She seemed very indifferent and avoidant of us. Both my sister and I are servers and we tried not to immediately judge the situation too harshly because we know that sometimes things are beyond a server's or even the restaurant's control. But after we left and all discussed our experiences over the last few days, it just seems that this went beyond bad luck. It seems that we were written off very early on in the dining experience as "that table" and everyone became unwilling to provide even adequate service, especially since the gratuity was added on automatically. And to be perfectly honest the food wasn't all that amazing. It was good, but everything was very overpriced, which would have been fine if we received service that was worthy of that price point. To top it all off, I just went over our itemized receipt and saw that we were charged for butter, sour cream, and green onions for the baked potato that came with my dad's meal. As well as horseradish for the prime rib and $5 for extra tortilla chips for the appetizer. Not a single person mentioned any of these additional charges when we asked for these things. When we're already paying $45 for a prime rib and baked potato, it seems outrageous to add on $2.50 for the toppings that should be included as standard on the potato. We should have brought these issues up before we left, but it would have only reinforced what we suspected was the attitude towards us, of us being a difficult table. I'm just simply in shock that a $485 dinner with an automatic $90 tip could be treated so poorly. It was just an overall very disappointing experience for our first time to this restaurant. To top it all off, I reached out to the restaurant through their website and sent this exact explanation of our experience and no one reached out to me. I would have expected someone to at least give me a call to apologize or express some kind of concern. I waited over 2 weeks before I decided to post this on Google. Good to know that we wasted almost $600 and the restaurant couldn't care less. Do not waste your time or money for this "steakhouse," you can get better service at Applebee's for the same food and a much...
Read moreUpdate again: Yet another obviously false review of this place. Looks like this latest reviewer is on their way to some kind on monetary reward. Believe the posts that have specifics about this place. The rest are all lies.
Update to the post below. Surprise surprise we have a review that is totally trying to negate the bad reviews about this place posted only one day after mine. It supports my suspicion that someone is being monetarily motivated to do this. There are no comments just a 5 star review. Please do not believe these posts. They are totally fake.
Original post: I have never been motivated to write a review for anything in the past. This place was so terrible I feel that it is my moral obligation to do so.
This was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my entire life! I travel all over the country for business and also internationally. The service was terrible and the miserable attitude of the staff rivals that of a certain European country. Unlike in that country where you can forgive the service because the food is so awesome, the food here was terrible quality and actually inedible. None of my party of 3 ate much of the food but took it home as we had paid an exorbitant amount for it. The dog wouldn't even eat it! Now let me add that we ordered the expensive 'steak.' It wouldn't have been satisfactory at a Sizzler. The onion rings were clearly of the frozen variety and not even whole onion rings but chopped up fabricated rings. The baked potato was the only thing that tasted ok.
We called ahead to make a 'reservation.' In spite of this we waited over an hour to be seated even though we were repeatedly told we would be 'soon seated.' When we finally were we were placed next to some obnoxious loud mouth group of low lives who spent the next hour screaming at the TV. Add in some foul language and some small children crying at 8 pm and you can just picture the atmosphere. The staff said nothing to this group even though they were clearly aware that there was a problem.
We had actually tried to eat here a few weeks earlier only to be met with a rude 'welcome' and told that they had finished taking food orders at 7pm on a Saturday night. I gave them the benefit of the doubt due to the reviews of this place. I do not know if those reviews are real or not but they sure do not match our experience (s.) It makes we wonder if those reviews are fabricated by the very rude owner of this place. On the menu there is a long rant about how difficult it has been during COVID and to be patient. I went back and looked at reviews that were written YEARS before and they mirror our experience. They have placed this on the menu to manipulate their customers into being tolerant of this awful experience. DO NOT FALL FOR IT!
Finally, I watched this scene play out and I wondered how the customers of this place could afford the prices and if they had saved up for a special event or celebration. I cannot imagine how I would have felt if that had also been added into the equation. Expect to drop $200 for a group of three without appetizers, dessert or expensive drinks.
Do yourself a favor and skip this place even though the outside looks enticing and pretty. It is the only thing...
