Oak Glen Restaurant and Tavern — Restaurant in Yucaipa

We were apple picking for the day and didn't want to wait in line at Los Rios bbq so we drove down the hill to the Tavern which said they had the "best ribs in town" so we were pretty excited, we ordered, sat on deck and enjoyed the good music... the little tavern was so cute. Our food came, it looked delish but I was a little confused because there wasn't any smoke anywhere or the smell of bbq anywhere, but whatever we were hungry and we dug in...dug in to the most aweful, slimy ribs and the most disgusting, tasteless tri-tip ever! (I knew something was wrong when I seen cheese on top of the tri-tip) Thank God chips were a side because those were the best thing of the meal. Keeping it short. First counter point yes it is spendy but you made the drive up here so you knew that. It is simply the best. I never thought I would be blown away by a pork chop and some onion rings but man whatever magic they do in that kitchen and with that smoker that was one of the best things I have ever eaten and the portion size was bigger than I anticipated. Also I recommended picking some of their signature cocktails like their Mule variant as it was delicious and unique. They have some good specials too if you time it right and Richard was a great bartender and friendly and attentive. The views are the icing...

Great service. Beautiful view. Family friendly. Went on a Sunday afternoon for some lunch. I tried the apple bacon grilled cheese sandwich. Not bad but if I go again, I'll get the angus burger and fries. My daughter had it & I got to try it. It was pretty good. My other daughter loved the quesadilla.
