Lovely patio dinner with my kids, even on a warm evening, 95 degrees. Dinner was very good, in fact delicious (although they gave us over cooked meat, when we specifically requested-"medium rare"). We all had the "prime rib" special. We made reservations for 7PM, as reviews strongly suggested such. Many commented, they ran out of prime rib, OR, the portions were LITTERALLY cut in half, to SPREAD THE MEAT FURTHER.The dining area is very small, seating for what appears as less than 40 people. They had live music, but was a little too loud, to be honest. I'm not old, and love loud music, but it was loud enough to hardly hear a conversation, which made us glad we ate on the outside patio. We overheard several folks say the same thing, so it wasn't just "us" being an ogre (a la-"Shrek"). I would STRONGLY SUGGEST several small changes, to make the food/prime rib - "special", perfect. 1.) Give soup or salad, incorporated WITH the special, NOT AN EXTRA-$$. 2.) GIVE BREAD or ROLLS with the meal. 3.) Don't use cardboard or styrofoam, in the placewere, use real ramekins or saucers (ie-au jous sauce, etc.) Increase the portions, as well. The 3 of us, polished our plates, still somewhat hungry. 3.) Offer a drink, as well. (Non alcoholic drinks are cheap, so is salad and soup, AND bread-rolls. Honestly folks) 4.) Offer discounts during summer, AND to locals, as that's the clientele, June-July-August. For $30 a person, again, for the "prime rib special" folks, make it a "special". Include a beverage, rolls, soup or salad, real placewere, and increase the portions. Lower the sound of the live music, as it greatly detracts from the enjoyment of good food and good company. I surveyed my kids, and this is an accurate summation of our dinning experience. We'd gladly return, after the implementing, of a few adjustments mentioned above. This is an open, honest, accurate, fair, and equitable review,...
Read moreAfter several months, we scheduled a visit for Sunday brunch. The Staff was welcoming, the atmosphere was friendly, and the scenery was peaceful and calm. Our party of 3 was offered seats outside next to a fire pit near the first hole of the golf course and hesitatingly obliged. Although it was a bit overcast, the fire kept us warm, even in short sleeves. We enjoyed a nice Sunday brunch and would highly recommend this gem of a place out of the way, quietly awaiting those taking the side road from Vegas to L.A. Note: it closes at 3pm on Sunday, so arrive accordingly. We will definitely keep this on our list of safe places to get quality food at...
Read moreWe have always loved this place because the food seems fresh and made to order and they have amazing soups, desserts and Prime Rib. Our last visit was very disappointing. We always make reservations and arrived at 6 pm and waited until 8 pm for our food. They have an amazing Prime Rib and really don't mind waiting if the food is good but this tme it was very disappointing because the Prime RIb was sliced very thin even the waitress commented before we could say anything. I think they overbooked and wanted to make sure there was enough for everyone else. We will probally give it another try and hope they have it...
