Came here after our day trip to Joshua Tree and while the burgers were really good, the service was really bad and left me confused - I don't like making assumptions but I couldn't tell: were they bad at their job? Were they racist? Or were they annoyed we didn't order drinks?
We walk in and get seated, and there's two parts which is the "diner" spot and then the bar spot. We just wanted burgers and soda, but anyways they sat us in the bar We order our food and drinks with this lady who seemed very polite at first, perky. We order a water and soda We got our soda but no water but dismiss it. We then ask another younger server for water and she immediately brings it out. the entire night our main server seems to ignore us. She doesn't check in, she checks in on every table around us but ours! I can't tell if it's because we didn't order drinks or was too busy. I don't like making assumptions but it didn't help that everyone around us were Caucasian and we were the only Asians. She Literally ignores and turns her back to us and talks to other tables, skipped over us and doesn't give eye contact UNTIL THE END OF OUR SERVICE. I try asking for a refill for a coke and finally get another waiters attention, and don't get it for another 10-15 mins. During that time I waive my original server, she waves at me from afar but doesn't even walk up or say anything?! Then I started thinking was it because I kept raising my hand to get her attention and she got annoyed? Haha idk. I don't know what else to do to get their attention at that point. I also felt like I was pretty polite the entire interaction. I was very annoyed and I am one to tip (used to be a server) and didn't leave anything. That's how annoyed I was.
Terrible service - I really liked the food but unfortunately this left a bad experience...
Read moreMan! Where do we start?! We stopped by Snake Bite Roadhouse for Sunday brunch and we were pleasantly surprised. The space is awesome and inviting. It had this cool biker bar vibe but done tastefully throughout the restaurant. We were greeted and sat quickly. I was super pumped to see they played the NFL games on the TV's they had near the bar.
Drinks: We ordered a couple of Micheladas, mighty fine recipe they have! It's hard to find a place that makes them well and they definitely delivered on this one. It had a great twang & spice to it, these were not one of those tomato or clamato based types that taste like a bloody. This one was on point, definitely will be back to get the recipe! 😉
Food: We had the Benedict and a couple breakfast tacos. Man, I can't tell ya how many Benedicts ive had that the yolk were just poached too long and hard. Definitely not the case here, those yolks were runny baby and done to perfection. With the hollandaise, smoked pork belly and the runny yolks, that alone makes me want to go back. We also had some breakfast potatoes that help slop up all the left over hollandaise.
Service: Everyone here is super attentive, at no point did I feel forgotten even with how busy they were. Our server gave us great recommendations for food and drinks, she was able to steer us in the right direction when it came to some allergies. They were very accommodating to the allergies and we appreciate that very much.
10/10 would totally recommend, we're already making our plans to check out dinner. Thanks again Snakebite! Look forward to...
