This is a good place to go to get out of the hot sun and enjoy some tasty food and drinks. There were probably not more than 10 people there when we were seated for lunch on a Thursday around 2:00 PM. The music was relaxing/chill EDM. The decor reminds me of a Greek restaurant instead of a Mexican restaurant, but the menu did not disappoint.
We ordered chips, salsa, and guac. My biggest complaint is the salsa was too watery and had little to no chunks. When I asked for more chunks of pico de gallo, the waitress said there would be an additional charge, which makes zero sense.
The micheladas were perfect. The grilled shrimp tacos were my favorite of the three types of tacos I oredered. The carne asada was less satisfying as the steak was somewhat dry and seemed to be less in volume. I also ordered the mahi-mahi tacos plate, which is substantial and comes in quantities of 4.
The shrimp ceviche with tostada shell was on point, and each bite helped to combat the feeling of excess heat we had after too much time in the hot sun outside.
I would like to see an improvement in the carne asada and pico de gallo salsa before I...
Read moreWe wanted some Mariscos for lunch and we placed an order for their Shrimp Salad, Specialty Tostada, and (2) Toritos. It came out to $50 with tip and we picked it up ourselves. For $50 I wasn't impressed, the food was okay.
I loved that I was able to order without breading since I have a gluten sensitivity. I asked no croutons on my salad, they put it in anyways, had to pick it out when I got home. I ordered a Torito with no breading and that thing was sad for $4 compared to the breaded version my partner got. The least they can do is charge less without breading.
The shrimp salad was okay, the shrimp was cold and pre-cooked. Had a weird hard texture. Paid $14 for it.
The specialty tostada was okay as well. Not enough flavor, a bit on the dry side.
Overall, 3 Stars! I have had better. I wanted to try them out since I never been to this place in Yuma, and I have lived here almost my entire life. Will be going to La Resaca instead. Tastier food and better prices.
The pick up was quick! Service was...
Read moreThis Mexican seafood location has some of the freshest marisco's made out in the town of Yuma that I've tried so far and I've frequented almost all of them. They don't try to mast the sea food with a copious amount of sauce or spices their recipes are down flavorful due to the great ingredients and authentic technique. I showed up on a Sunday afternoon and thankfully it wasn't as busy it seems like people that are staying to eat are in and out within an hour. There is no entertainment as far as sports on TV they only have a few and they don't show boxing matches at the location I called the night prior. The menu is very short and to the point with your basic marisco dishes that you would find on a food truck except you get to enjoy alcoholic beverages such as cocktails and import and domestic beers. The waiter was very attentive and expedited everything quickly and provided great service. Thank you will definitely be back to try...
