Panda Express — Restaurant in Yuma

UPDATE 9/25/22 I hadnt been back here since the covid scare and when things were shut down, so I'd say about 2 yrs or so. Unfortunately I cant rate it any higher than previously. Food choices were out or way down for more entrees than I thought should be. Some looked like it was sitting there awhile.When we got our food home, and we live close, the food was luke warm. It was bland. I was craving Chinese food. It wasnt seasoned like Chinese food. It was just blah. Sorry to have to say that. It filled the hunger. Generous portions but for 2 drinks and 2 meals at $27 it wasnt that impressive. I'd be willing to pay even a little more had it tasted like Chinese food. We have given this place 4 or 5 tries now over the course of time. Probably wont be back anytime soon.

UPDATED REVIEW IS WRITTEN ABOVE I was dissapointed on my last visit here. (MY 2ND visit ever. ) it was in the middle of the week. I believe it was a Thursday about 7pm. Most of the choices were out or very low and in poor condition. I got what I could and brought it home. I discovered once home that I was charged for a entree that I didn't even order. I'll give this place one more chance in hopes this was an 'off' day for them and not a usual practice. UPDATE, I decided to give this place another try. This time I went on a Wednesday afternoon about 2pm. Although the selection was better than before, I only eat seafood so I went for the shrimp. They only have one shrimp (seafood) entree they offer and it was almost gone. I had to wait till they cooked up some more. It was fresh and hot but they seemed to have changed the recipe or left an ingredient out because it was somewhat bland and didn't taste as flavorful as the past other two times that I had it. The rice and noodles were really good. The service was good also. With the shrimp dish they charge more than the other entrees so for me to get a 2 entree shrimp meal with a medium soda was a little over $13. Although overall it was good in my opinion that's a bit spendy for a fast food establishment. ANOTHER UPDATE I've decided Thursday evening is a bad time to come. They were out of 3 of the entrees I ordered and I had to wait about 20 minutes to get it. When I was selecting my choices there was very little of the string bean chicken and what was left was shriveled. I made it clear I didnt want that. They needed new. After my wait, when I got home and opened the lid I had the shriveled string bean chicken and very little chicken. The beef broccoli consisted of about 2 or 3 bites of meat. My husband said his 2 entree meal was basically rice and green beans. It was very apparent because they were so busy and behind in their cooking that they were stretching it any way they could. Since so many people were sitting at tables waiting for their food most I'm sure didn't see what was going on. Very disappointing because in reality their food is very tasty. They just need to have enough folks cooking to keep up during the busy times. There isn't many Chinese places in Yuma AZ just Asian cuisine and although it's good it's just not the same. So I'll come back to panda express because their food is good but there's room for improvement and when I see it I'll definitely rate accordingly. I arrived at 9:06 pm. This location has a posted closing time of 10 pm. I attempted to walk inside and to my surprise the doors were locked. The man mopping the floors didn’t make eye contact. I looked at the hours to ensure I didn’t miss something and looked up to see the Open sign illuminated. I watched two others do the same thing as I decided to go through the drive thru. My order was finally taken at 9:22 pm. The first words out of the speaker box after the recording was “Do you want to know what we have left?” This was 53 mins before the close of business. I politely declined and asked if they had orange chicken. As the cashier typed in my order I read the screen to let her know it was incorrect. She seemed irritated and in a passive agreessive voice corrected it. After more waiting, I finally arrive to the window. Card in hand I go to exchange my payment with Yesica L the cashier. She shoves a kids drink spilling all over my hand and takes my card. I hold the drink outside my car and let her know she handed me a drink that does not have a lid on correctly and is spilling and ask her to take it or wipe it down. She takes two napkins and shoves them aggressively out the window and it shuts. I’m left waiting again. She comes back and hands me my food. I check it and I’m missing one of my cookies. After several visits to this location I have learned to check before leaving. Wait another 4 mins and let her know I’m missing a cookie. At 9:46 I finally received my food. It took 40 mins to go through a drive-thru.

This location is lacking leadership and quality employees during the evening shift.

Doors should never be locked before the close of business. With a full line in the drive thru and several people attrempting to walk inside food shouldn’t have been limited at 9. The staff needs some lessons on how to give world class customer service.

Last night I went to Panda Express. And I won't ever go back. I ordered 1 full side of rice. Never got it. 1 full side noodles. I received this small container . I ordered 1 plate side of orange chicken. Which could be with either the rice or noodles. I received another container of it. And neither my husband or I could eat it. It was so hard and tasteless. I also ordered 1 plate side order of the broccoli beef. That could have been with rice or noodles. That was the most horrible item I have ever ordered from Panda Express. Within that little container was four large pieces of broccoli and I'm not kidding when say, there was less than seven very small pieces of beef. Along with a small amount of sauce. Believe me there wasn't enough food to have for two adults. If we were able to eat it. I have never wrote any review quite as bad as I just did. But people have so much less to go out a order food with. And seniors are in extremely fix monthly budgets. It's really upsetting when this happens. We always go out on the last Saturday each month.
