I went into the Subway to try and get their ultimate cheesy garlic bread. I wanted just it because I was making spaghetti in the truck for dinner. I asked the girl if that was possible and she said yes. I then asked how much it would cost and what size it was. She said $2.00 and it would be a foot long. I said great and that I would like that please. She made it and sent it down the line to have another employee ring me up and she proceeded to charge me $7.69+ tax for the toasted bread. Long story short...Robert Villalobos proceeds to tell me that they don't just sell bread, that they have to charge me for a full sandwich and their NEW employee misinformed me so I would just have to pay the full price or I could choose not to buy it. My point was that I had asked in advance the price and portion so that I wouldn't waste my time waiting for something I didn't want. He also told me that that was how they handled mistakes... ie... charge you full price when they misquote you and waste your time. Or waste the prepared food instead of honoring their misquote to assure good customer service and a return guest. The new girl was very polite and it wasn't her fault. If she's new...spend time training her properly and while your at it...
Read moreNot towards Subway themselves, but to the Godfathers pizza that Subway runs. Being a trucker and a pregnant mother, I'm working with very little money to begin with, as there's still a couple days before payday. Went in to order pizza and cheesesticks. No big deal. However, when the cashier went to ring up the bill, she refused to take payments by way of 2 different cards, as I couldn't afford to withdraw the money thru the ATM, because I barely would've had enough to cover the bill, let alone 1 or 2 ATM charges. Sadly disappointed, everyone else has always been willing to accept 2 forms of card payment to receive payment for the bill, especially for food. Will never come here again. If there were a way to give 0...
Read moreHeidi, who works at this Subway, made my sandwich this morning, 😋. She did a Most Outstanding job, so I asked if I could give her a tip. She said they are NOT allowed to accept tips. The manager at this Subway should change that rule here. This is the 1st Subway that won't allow tips for the employees, that I have come across. My husband & I drive truck, from East coast to West coast, so we have been to many Subways in between. In the Food world, when a customer wants to show Appreciation to the Server/Chef or Sandwich Artisan,, you can leave them a tip, usually. It would be a Lovely gesture if the manager here at the Yuma, Loves Subway would Start allowing tips for their Sandwich...
