Chloe Chinese Food — Restaurant in Efate

Interesting dinner. We thought we'd go out for Chinese as you can't really stuff it up but started to wonder if we should stay or go. We stayed. No atmosphere, owner sits at register delegating and pointing to the staff member but doesn't get up off bum to help her. Felt sorry for the poor girl serving us. The beef noodles, pepper beef and egg fried rice were surprisingly good but the gun boa chicken was full of chopped lemon grass and diced veggies and spot the chicken with way too much chilli oil. The veggie spring rolls were delicious. That said I did notice with our time here there are many signs in windows looking for staff. Inexpensive menu maybe just short-staffed...

Nice flavours, simple Chinese food, with vegan options. The soy noodles are so simple, but so tasty! Very conveniently located across the road from the Iririki Jetty - which was great when we first arrived, as our flight was late and we couldn't venture too far (starving!!). They take card (possibly with a surcharge, but I can't really remember) and cash. Prices seem to be similar to other restaurants...

This is where we had our first meal in Port Vila and where we had takeaway for our last day in Vila. The owners are a lovely and chatty Chinese couple who even drove us to our resort after shop closed. Fantastic experience and beautiful people here. Marinated beef is the best.
