At tan.Coffee Da Nang, the coconut coffee is a standout—an artful balance of tropical indulgence and intense Vietnamese coffee. Made using coconut cream or freshly squeezed coconut milk, crushed ice, sweetened condensed milk, and robust Robusta beans, each sip delivers a silky, exotic sweetness with tropical richness cutting through the earthy coffee bitterness. The result is a velvety texture that feels both refreshing and comforting, with hints of caramel from the condensed milk and subtle coconut aromatics shining through.
Baristas pour the espresso slowly into the icy coconut blend, allowing you to control the ratio of bold coffee versus creamy sweetness. That build‑your‑own contrast makes the drink versatile: some guests enjoy a stronger coffee edge, others favor the sweeter coconut layer. The interplay of bitterness, sweetness, and creaminess makes it uniquely satisfying—a tropical riff on classic Vietnamese cà phê đá.
Coffee Beyond Boundaries -
While coconut coffee is the show‑stopper, tan. Mesmerizing Interiors & Layout -
At the heart of tan. Coffee’s charm is its spectacular design. Occupying two light-filled floors at 10 Nguyen Thien Thuat, the café combines industrial metal framing with antique wood, large arched windows, and open spaces that blur lines between indoors and garden. The lush tropical garden courtyard—complete with foliage and wooden furniture—offers dappled sunlight, fresh air, and plenty of Instagram-worthy corners.
Inside, each floor offers distinct ambiance: the ground level is airy and communal, while the upper level includes cozy nooks for work, relaxation, or contemplation. Fans praise the harmonious blend of minimalism, natural warmth, and traditional Vietnamese vintage elements—creating a relaxing, elegant space that feels curated yet authentic.

Read moreWithout a doubt the aesthetics of this coffee shop are beautiful. The arched windows, the antiquities and wood mixed with industrial concrete give this place a real vibe.
This cafe was very well occupied and everyone seemed to be settled, taking in the ambience and tranquility despite being near the city centre.
The Corn Coffee here, OMG - how amazing. Others don’t even come close and I think this may now be my favourite coffee in Da Nang. Be warned however, it is very sweet and more corn cream than coffee which was perfect.
We also tried the Banana Coconut coffee, for us it had too many ‘bits’ in it (coconut pieces) that made it difficult to drink the coffee through a straw. Despite this, it was unique and a balanced blend of coffee, coconut and banana.
It was disappointing that you couldn’t get an ice blended Coconut Coffee, but they do offer a vast range of unique blends here that go beyond just coffee. The price of the drinks is high compared to other shops, but each drink does seem like a constructed masterpiece.
Only one bathroom facility, would be beneficial to have more available as there was a line waiting inconveniently directly at the top of the stairs. Staff were abundant and attentive, a parking attendant available to assist you with parking directly in front and cleanliness is of a high...

Hygiene: ice is scooped form a sink with many other cartons and containers .. you can't convince me that's clean ..
Furniture: a mix of old and very old (think rusty or an entire chair arm missing). There's a difference between antique and totally spoilt ..
Drinks: looks pretty interesting but the cream was overly thick. To get it thinner you need to add some more ice (read above).
Layout: the layout on the 2nd floor is so bad, and my bad I came with a stroller, but it was hard to move around and highly uncomfortable with or without the stroller. On top of that the aircon was not existent. We decided to sit outside and there was water spraying to keep us cool but it was also going into our drinks.
To top everything off, before we settled down a staff came to ask if we ordered. And when we were outdoors someone locked the door so I had to climb out to the other door to get them...
