Phuong Nam Restaurant — Restaurant in Cần Thơ

Positives are that it is located in the action right on the river front. There are probably better and much more pricey restaurants nearby but this little place offers some value. It also has some unusual items on the menu as well as a few items for tourists. My daughter went for crocodile (and she could have had ostrich or even snake). I stuck with fish which was very good.

This is a small family run place. You may have to wait at peak times in evening but they are efficient and the owner has a system to keep things moving. They can look a little stressed at times but they are friendly. Not special food but better than most options...

It’s salty, expensive and tastes bad, so don’t be scam by the reviews was not true!!!! No meal is acceptable except bottled water.

I may have eaten some chips and some meat, but I didn't finish at least half of that because I was starving and I try not to waste it, but I ended up with at least most of it left because it was terrible.

Can you explain why the product I got was completely different from the photos in the review, and the beef and noodle had a strange taste.

Ok. This is a treat. The food pics on the website look like Michelin starred food from Europe. So in we go thinking this could be interesting. It looked wrong from the start. The old lady in the back showed the same interest in us as the snakes in the large jar behind her. Signs of life when a young waiter flip flopped his way over and gave us a menu minus the amazing dishes on offer on the website. I think someone is playing a joke here I was not sure if I should be happy or sad. The food was just another Mekong Delta...
