Fong — Restaurant in Da Lat City

FONG or Hidden café, like its name, is one of the most mystery and very hard to find place I have ever visited in Da Lat. It has a cozy, warm atmostphere and amazing entertainment service, FONG really made my experience became so relax and unforgettable. FONG is located on 3/4 street, next to a big restaurant. There was no sign of the café on the street and I had to go down a steep sloop to go into the shop. I was really surprised of the interior architecture and serveral entertainment activities inside like billard, chess, caro,… I and my friends were having very enjoyable memory together while we were there and I especially loved the music performance of the band in the shop. Playing jazz in that romantic and cozy space was absolutely incredible. However, I didn’t really like the drinks, the menu was not too diverse and drinks here have some limitations. FONG should improve a bit on this point. Still, this is a good recommendation and I will return there more...

Came here in the week day noon for some coffee. It’s pretty chill there with very nice decor and not crowded at all (since we came during non-peak season in Dalat). Unfortunately, that also seemed to translate to lesser choices on the menu, as some items were not available at all like the lemon coffee and the cookies. We shared 3 drinks across the 2 of us, had the matcha latte (65K) and the salted coffee (50K). Both of them had salted cream on top which I really like. The staff was very pleasant and polite as well. When I saw the piano I asked if I could play it, he was so nice to offer to turn off the music. Hidden Gem Alert!

This charming cafe is tucked away on the main road without any signage outside. To find it, head down the steep stairs, and you'll discover a cozy spot with high ceilings, large windows, and tall bookshelves. They host live music at night, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. We visited while they were rehearsing for Funky Night, which sounded like a fantastic event to catch in the evening. I tried the "cacao muối" (salted cocoa) for the first time, and it was delightful!
