Sam Dining — Restaurant in Da Lat City

We had a 5/5 star experience at Sam Dining! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the chef right through to the staffs were nothing but welcoming and so hospitable. The staff there were definitely on their A game. The dishes that chef Toan made was so unique in flavour and nothing we had tasted before, so THUMBS UP for that. Oh and the ambience spot on! So calming and the music was perfect for the night!

The highlights of our night was definitely the foam infused pho broth flavour (you could actually taste the pho flavour - blew our minds away), the jelly fish dish (so refreshing, not too heavy on the flavour, had all the textures and was a great balance) one of our favourite dish, the Hokkaido scallops was a dish filled with so much flavour (the mint dressing and the perfectly cooked scallops was the star of the show and that little crunch from the biscuit topping that reminded me of a chicken noodle soup flavour just bought the dish together) and we can’t forget about the cleansing palate experience was definitely one of a kind. We had never experience anything like it and it was actually so good, a perfect transition between the seafood to the red meat dish.

Overall our first fine dining experience in Vietnam was an unforgettable experience. We definitely loved how the chef came out and explained each and every dish and how they used fresh herbs from THEIR own garden! Adds that little authenticity!

I have heard of Sam Dining from so many of my food savvy friends here in Ho Chi Minh City that I had to make a trip to Dalat to try this place out for myself. It is truly unbelievable that a city such as Dalat can have such an exquisite fine dining restaurant with the warmest most hospitable atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by smiling faces as if welcoming us into their cozy tastefully decorated home.

The menu was impressive, each dish beautifully plated and carefully explained. I recommend you must try the drink pairing menu as it perfectly enhanced/balanced out the dishes. I have always been disappointed by dessert with every set menu but at Sam Dining, even until the very last bite, I was delighted and happy.
