Hanoi Roastery — Restaurant in Hà Nội

One of my favorite coffee shops which has a beautiful and peaceful lake view. The place is spacious, the music is fitting, and the staff are attentive and friendly. The drink prices are a bit high, but they are reasonable for such a beautiful space.

Coming back today and cant give it 5 star anymore. The staff coughed so hard on my drink while making it without covering their mouths with masks. The owner was sitting right in front of me to cough for a while too which was quite annoying. The cup is not clean and my fingers are sticky touching it. I am the only customer this morning and the owners didnt even bother asking me how my drink was though I dont look happy. They only played the music after I came 30 mins. The toilet was so dirty full of trash. No security man to take care of bikes though they told me there was one. Still beautiful ambience but wont come...

Just had a fantastic coffee experience at Hanoi Roastery! This place definitely lives up to the hype as one of the iconic cafes by West Lake. The location on Nguyen Dinh Thi street offers a truly picturesque view overlooking the romantic waters – it was the perfect backdrop for filming my short today. The cafe has a really cozy and inviting atmosphere, reminiscent of those charming sidewalk coffee stalls Hanoi is famous for, but with an extra touch of comfort. More importantly, the coffee was excellent! You can tell they take pride in their freshly ground beans. It's the perfect spot to soak in the local coffee culture while enjoying a stunning view. My friend selected take away from this spot. We shared 1 meat based bánh mì and 1 egg bánh mì, along with a slice of summer cake. The bánh mì are hefty so you may not be able to finish eating them in one sitting. Both are delicious and the veggies loaded on them are refreshing and crisp. All great choices that left us feeling very full and unable to finish the portions. This spot is located on the west lake. You can take your food home with you or enjoy the view from the restaurant. I am a dessert kind of girl and the summer cake was absolute perfection; It’s not too sweet but can still satisfy your sweet tooth.
