Read moreThis cooking class was amazing! The driver they arranged (included in the price) picked us up from our hotel in DaNang and took us to the cafe which was nestled at the end of the road, right alongside the river, completely shaded to keep cool. It's a very cute place with bamboo swings for Instagram pictures, lots of fans to keep cool, and even a pool table to play on! Included in the price was a basket boat ride, which we loaded onto straight from the cafe. It was a scenic route that showcased music, spinning, and a professional photo that you could buy for 70,000VND, right on the river. Upon returning to the cafe, we met the wife of the owner, who was our chef. This is a family owned establishment, and it is obvious they care not only about the quality of their food, but their customers as well. She guided us through the entire cooking process, giving all three of us jobs while she made sure everything was going smoothly. Her English was great, as well as her husbands! She added in tips and tricks, and made sure we knew the reasoning behind each step. We were provided drinks, aprons, hats, and a fan was blowing to help with the heat. The food was amazingly delicious and far surpassed our expectations. The price we paid was not nearly enough for how good this experience and the food was. Afterwards, we received a paper copy of the recipe and were taken back to our hotel by the driver. Overall, it was a delicious and fun experience that we wish more people could enjoy. The location can keep them from getting the business they deserve, just because they are out of eyesight. Please make sure you know where you're going or that you use the driver provided or else you may end up at the wrong end of the road! If you're considering a cooking class and feel that you don't have enough cooking skills, worry not, this will be...
Read moreDearest Yung, Huyen and all the team at the basket boat Cafe (even BB). We are so greatful someone recommended to come to your Cafe to have the "basket boat experience". It was absolutely one of our favourite days whilst in Hoi An. Your hospitality from the moment we arrived was so friendly and warm. It was so easy to make contact via facebook and arrange for our family of 5 (2 kids age 2 and 8 months and 3 adults) to have transfers to and from our hotel, a welcome drink and a basket boat ride. To have your very own private pier where the basket boat can pull up and you hop straight in for your own private tour of the coconut village was amazing and so personal, we loved it so much! The food!!! DELICIOUS! You made anything we requested and were able to change the menu to adapt and cater to my mums gluten allergy. We enjoyed our time with you so much we had to come back and do the cooking class. Again, you arrange our transfers, a drink and the cooking class, creating a menu specific to accommodate my mums allergies. The beautiful cook Tho ran the class with such wonderful knowledge and passion for food and a healthy lifestyle. The whole experience was truly unique. From having staff on hand to help us with the kids and allow myself and my husband to have a little break from running after them, to gifting us a beautiful bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate our marriage, you went over and above and we appreciate you all so much. We cannot wait to come back one day and enjoy some more time and many more beers with you all. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. Shane...
