Had our favorite meal in the Hoi An area here. We knew it was going to be good before we even got there because the people in their yards and on the streets leading up to the restaurant were looking at us like, "why are you over here?" After one day in old town we needed to go somewhere else and this was exactly what we were looking for.
The restaurant is down some small back neighborhood streets on a little corner of the peninsula and it's charming, and quiant and not trying to get good reviews on trip advisor with the western idea of Vietnamese decor.
The only person working was a lovely woman who was the server and cook and likely head of the household. She didn't speak much english our Vietnamese is pretty much non-existent after please, thank you, and hello but when she caught us dancing while eating, (that's how we tell each other we love the food,) she laughed and smiled.
We had an incredible meal from the small menu. Stuffed squid with peanuts and onions, banh xeo, shrimp spring rolls and fried shrimp in tamarind sauce. Everything was delicious but after many years of eating in Vietnam, we felt like we had some really amazing new flavor combos that aren't your typical Vietnamese fare so it was perfect.
Can't recommend this place enough, accept for the fact we don't want them to learn English, add pizza to the menu or serve...

It was delicious. It was an unplanned last lunch on the Vietnam leg of our honeymoon trip and I would definitely recommend going there. Don’t expect any westernities, organisation or amenities. Come as a local. Eat as this lady’s guest. You...

Shrimps in tamarind sauce and other dishes are very tasty and carefully prepared. The couple cooking and serving are very friendly and helpful. I can really recommend the "end of the world...
