Isushi - Thiso Mall — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

My rating goes with the average of: Restaurant setting: 2/5 - a bit cold and not ready - it was crowded in the front but when we requested to be seated in the back as it was empty (4th photo), we couldn’t as the AC didn’t work there.

Food quality: a. Freshness: 4.5/5 b. Diversity: 3.5/5 (mostly in the drink. They didn’t have Japanese beer 😫, liquor selections were also limited) c. Authenticity: 2/5 (some dishes taste like Vietnamese flavor - most stuck out would be the mochi- don’t order it or you’ll be regretted. I did warn you! d. Cleanliness: 4/5

Service: 4/5 - staff were helpful and friendly, but not flexible in assisting the customer being creative with changing the menu...

The staff took the wrong order and kept asking me to eat it while I explained several times that my whole family could not eat unagi. Later on, as she saw me getting mad, she took the wrong dish and promised to replace the correct dish. THEN I HAVE TO WAIT 30 MINUTES FOR ONLY 4 SMALL CUP OF STEAMED EGGS. The server's attitude and the cashier's were unacceptable. I waited too long, so I asked for the bill and already paid, but we still sat there and waited for the dish. However, I heard the conversation from the other staff and cashier; the cashier looked direct into my face and talked shit about my table like we did the wrong things to them. Just had a great dining experience at Isushi at Thiso Mall, giving it a solid 4-star rating! The place serves up a fantastic selection of Japanese dishes, from incredibly fresh sushi and sashimi to beautifully prepared cooked items. Every dish we tried was delicious and well-presented. It's clear why Isushi is so popular – the atmosphere is buzzing with people! Because it gets so busy, we did find the service to be a little on the slow side, so patience is key.
