During my stay at a nearby hotel, I happened upon this café one evening without checking any online reviews. Intrigued, I decided to try egg coffee for the first time during my visit to Vietnam, though I was initially hesitant—how could eggs possibly taste good in coffee?
When my order arrived, I was immediately impressed by its presentation. It was served in a uniquely designed cup that was extremely hot to the touch, likely to keep the whipped egg yolk warm. The taste was exceptional—the thick, velvety egg layer added a rich texture to the coffee. The heat of the cup helped maintain the perfect experience for at least 5–10 minutes. Upon inquiry, the owner mentioned that they use three egg yolks per serving, which I could easily believe given the richness of the drink.
Later, during my visit to Saigon, I tried another egg coffee at the renowned Café Apartments. However, this experience only deepened my appreciation for the one I had at Brick Coffee Shop. The coffee at Café Apartments was served in a lukewarm cup with a thin, loosely whipped egg layer that tasted cold and lacked character.
Disappointed by the contrast, I chose not to order egg coffee again during my trip, as I didn’t want to spoil the incredible memory of my experience at Brick...
Read moreI LOVE this coffee shop. Not just because it looks lovely but also because they serve the BEST egg coffee ever! I tried the ones in Hanoi but this one from Brick Coffee Shop in Ninh Binh is way better. The customers from another table said the same thing. Additionally, their carrot cake is moist and tasty too while the Coconut Coffee is refreshing. The owner, who happened to man the place alone during our visit, is very nice too and made sure everything was in perfect order. I really wanted to chat with him about his coffees but he unfortunately was alone and seemed busy that time. It’s nice that they have good working wifi as well. Really happy to have...
Read moreWow, a truly special boutique coffee Cafe serving Vietnamese coffee specialities + magnificent banana and carrot cake. There is outdoor and indoor spaces both on the ground level and upstairs. I asked for a non-dairy coconut coffee iced, and the owner was happy to remove dairy products for me. There is lovely relaxing music playing in the background adding to the already soft ambience and warmth of exposed brick, mix of old industrial sewing tables, machine parts, and other paraphernalia from an earlier time. But these hard materials are softened with plants and a huge Lilly pond outside. I high recommend making time to visit and enjoy the delights of Brick...
