This was the worst food I ate in Vietnam. It was extremely overpriced. The goat is supposed to be a specialty, but they can’t even be bothered to cut the gristle and bone out of it, making it barely edible. Our kids ordered “roast chicken”, which turned out to be overcooked breaded chicken slices with absolutely no flavor and no moisture. We also ordered the burnt rice. Despite our asking how to eat it, we only got half the instructions and didn’t know what to do with several of the items on the table. The soup-type stuff it comes with could not have been more disgusting. I may as well have bought pre-made gravy and eaten it lukewarm. It wasn’t even liquid anymore. Tour buses line up outside this place and the staff seem to know they will have business no matter what. They’re the first Vietnamese I encountered who didn’t even pretend to be friendly. At least...

The burnt rice came with a bowl of soup that was very thick. The rice should be broken and eaten with the soup. Mini pieces of minced meat and vegetables with probably thick corn starch were present in the soup.

Read moreIf you go to Ninh Binh or just Trang An in a booked tour, they will take you there for sure. In my personal opinion it was way overpriced, comparing to the rest of Vietnam It was the most expensive place for a meal. I cant get how they charge those prices when you are not even in one of the main cities. It seems they have an agreement with tour operators and all the buses stop there so you have no choice. I want to be fair and say it's not a price you cannot pay but It will be one of the highest prices you pay if you compare It to regular (but much more tastier and authentic) in the big cities like Hanoi or...
