Might be okay in a pinch, but don’t expect too much. 🍽️

Gia Hung Restaurant has a decent variety on the menu, and it seems aimed at foreign visitors, but the food itself was pretty underwhelming. Some dishes tasted a bit off, and even my friend wasn’t too keen on how things looked or tasted. Nothing was terrible, just kind of bland and forgettable.

If you’re really hungry and nearby, it could work—but there are probably better options around for a more satisfying meal.

Our group of 13 was located in a private room which was nice.

There were plenty of vegetarian and meat options and the food was being constantly topped up so it was hot and fresh.

The place was very busy with other tour groups, but everyone seemed patient and you didn't have to wait long for anything. The buffet seating was upstairs and there is an a la carte menu downstairs.

Drinks were an additional charge and could be purchased from the bar.

Had lunch here on a daily tour in Ninh Binh. The food was really poor. There was a buffet and every single dish was cold. Given the Vietnamese standard of fresh vegs and great street food, I don't really understand how a restaurant can be so bad. In 40 minutes of being there the only thing that was refilled was the cucumber salad. Make sure if you are on a day tour to ask your agency not to stop here.
