Came here our first night in Ninh Binh. I ordered the T-Pub burger and my girlfriend ordered the chicken toastie and we split the green salad. The burger tasted fantastic and so was the chicken toastie, but my review is only 2* because of the AWFUL food poisoning I got from the burger… I know it was from the burger as the days leading up to me feeling ill, my girlfriend and I were on a cruise and we had all of the same meals. This was the first time in 3 days where we ate different food and only I became very VERY ill midway through the night and for the next 24 hours leaving me unable to do any of our planned activities… I think this place truly has potential to be an awesome restaurant with a very cool atmosphere, but sanitation/food preparation NEEDS to be re-emphasized/re-evaluated as despite the cool atmosphere and yummy food, I will not be back.
Update to respond to the owners response: Having customers really has nothing to do with it. Just because you have customers does not mean that it is impossible for one of your staff to have prepared my meal in an unsanitary way leading to food sickness (could have been undercooked beef or unwashed hands, etc.). I also said nothing about spoiled/leftover food so I don’t know why the owner mentioned this… Like I said above, we did eat our meals together, but only I had the burger and she did not try it at all so it makes sense why only I was sick. Also as mentioned above, we had all the same meals up until this point for the past few days. Without question, my sickness came from that burger and not from the weather or other things like the owner suggested. Would have been nice for the owner to have owned up to the mistake and apologized, instead of trying to displace the blame, but it really just adds to the list of why I will not be...
Read moreTam Coc is a small village in the northern countryside of Vietnam that must surely be unrecognisable to anyone who visited or lived here a decade ago. The devastation that mass tourism has had on this area stems from it being used for scenes in the movie Kong Island, and i don't know if the demanding tourists or the greedy business owners should be held more responsible. Traversing this tiny countryside village, you will find virtually no authentic Vietnamese food of quality. Instead, there are 5 Indian restaurants, half a dozen pizza joints, and countless 'pubs' offering shisha and happy hour cocktail buckets as they pump out techno tunes. The one street village is also chock-a-block with 'full body' massage places. Welcome, welcome, welcome if that sounds like tourist paradise to you, but to me it is horrific. We intended to eat Vietnamese food as Vietnamese food is the best food in the world in my opinion, but it has not been good in Tam Coc, so we came to this place and had a woodfire pizza with chorizo. We watched the chef make the pizza from scratch out front and put it into the traditional woodfire oven while we sipped on cold Na Da beers. The pizza tasted great and on the table was Tabasco which is unusual in Vietnam and thus a pleasant surprise. I can definitely recommend getting a pizza here if you are in Tam Coc although i dont recommend coming to Tam Coc in the...
Read moreThe best restaurant in Vietnam so far! We came here for both lunch and dinner. All the food we ordered tasted delicious and the portions are huge. For lunch, we have the stir fried chicken with vegetables and rice. The veggies were so sweet and cooked just right with generous amount of chicken. We also got the noodles with tofu, crunchy mushrooms and soy sauce.
For dinner, we wanted to relax so we ordered blueberry shisha and it came with 2 free local draft beer. We also had their supreme pizza that came with gin tonic for happy hour. The pizza is baked in a stone fired oven!
Service was amazing! The owner was very friendly and service was fast. We did not mind waiting for the food because they served the drinks ahead. Set was cool too, all the tables and chairs were facing the street. Come visit here if you're in Ninh Binh, you won't be disappointed.
They also accept card payments with 3% additional fee. Save your cash for other places that...
