Yesterday, I visited this place with my friend and our experience in this restaurant was quite horrible. I ordered a pho and a papaya salad and both are not delicious. First of all, the noodles in the pho was not cooked(they were hard), the ingredients in the soup was not fresh and the soup base didn’t taste good. Second, I strongly hate coriander in foods, so I asked a staff to remove it from the dishes, she said yes, but when I checked the dishes, there are full of disgusting coriander leaves. Third, most important the papaya salad was not in the English menu, it was in Vietnamese menu and the price was not written. After we finished our meal, we asked for the price and the staff said it’s 50,000d. While other dishes are just 20,000d. I am pretty sure that she overpriced the salad, since we were tourists. Amazing vegetarian and vegan option, com binh dân style restaurant. Fully vegetarian they have fresh, crisp veges, that aren’t boiled to death or cooked in oil. I had pumpkin and green beans on my plate and these guys understand how cook veges right. Fresh noodle salad, stir fried morning glory, pasta, bamboo shoots, stir fried winter vegetables, hot steamed bao buns, etc, etc, etc. Also an awesome range of tofu/dobu, reconstituted, skins, etc, etc. Some have interesting fillings, some are marinated in tangy, bbq sauce and some just look really strange, but i’ll be back to try them all. I ordered food from the buffet. Food is average. Typical buffet food. Too litle vegetables for my taste. Soup is cold. They don’t speak English. What’s ok. But they were not very friendly and helpful to me. Bad service. Looked very crampy. No single smile. Not very friendly for foreigners. And I think they overcharged me.
